Grimball Frank Quain John Pollard Anthony Gasparovie Angelo Zingaro Richard Allen SPECIAL MEETING Meeting was called to order at 8:40 P.M. by the Secretary, John J. Pollard who was acting in the absence of the former Chairman, John K* Mull on. The first order of business was tho election of a Chairman to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr, Mull on who no longer resides in North Tarrytown and upon motion of Mr, Grimball, seconded by Mr, Page, Mr, Pollard was nominated and elected by acclamationt The next order of business v?as the election of a Secretary to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Mr, Pollard to the Chairmanship and upon motion of Mr, Page, seconded by fir, Grimball, Mr, Quain was nominated and elected by acclamation. Prior to the call of the meeting Corporation Counsel Zingaro ad-ministered the oath of office to Mr, Frank Quain, the newly appointed member of the Board, and the present Secretary of same. The only business to come before the Board was a petition from Anthony Gasparovic requesting a permit from the Building Inspector to add an addition to his house. After considerable discussion by those present, including Mr, Gasparovic, it was decided that the members of the Board should visit the property and ascertain whether or not it would be advisable to grant Mr. Gasparovic's request without a public hearing. Accordingly, Tuesday, January 23rd was selected as the next meeting, at which time the members of the Board would make their report. The matter of the Zoning Board Members being furnished with the Building, and Plumbing Code was discussed and it was decided to request the Clerk to furnish each member with the Zoning Ordinances and Building and Plumbing Codes, Y»ednesday, January 31, 1940 was selected as the date for the public hearing. D. D. F* J. Pollard, Chairman I. Grimball Bige X* Quain Meeting called to order at 8:10 P. M. by Mr. Pollard, Chairman. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Notice of Public Meeting was read. Chairman asked if there were any objections to the request made by Mr. A* M* Gasparovio. * Mr. Allen addressed the Board. During his remarks he wanted to clarify his action of not issuing the permit before* Mr* Allen stated that in his opinion, Mr. Gasparoyic wanted to make a six (6) family house out of his house which now contains five (5) families, by putting floor above garage for 4 rooms and downstairs a large storeroom. Mr* Allen then stated that if it ims alright with the Board to allow this, he would guarantee that Mr. Gasparovio would do all this work within the Building Code* Mr* Grimball then spoke. After examining restrictions carefully, he could not see how the Board could do anything else but grant the permit providing that Mr* Gasparovio lives within the Building Code* Counsellor Zingaro then stated that the request made by Mr* Gasparovio was in order and any objections to it with regards to the Zoning law could not be sustained. Mr. Pollard, the Chairman, then thanked Mr. Allen for bringing the request before the Board* Mr* luge then made the motion to grant the request nade by Mr* Gasparovio. Seconded by F* X* Quain. It was then proposed and duty seconded to hold the future meetings every second Wednesday of the month* The Chairman instructed the Secretary to notify the absent members of the Board of Trustees to that effect. eY Motion was duly made and seconded to adjourn at 8:20 P. Gasparovic, to make an addition to his residence at 302 Gordon Avenue, North Tarrytown. After discussion it was-moved by Mr. Bige and seconded by Mr. Pollard, to advertise in the Tarrytown News a special meeting to be held in the temporary offices of the Village to hear any complaints against the addition that Mr. Gasparovic has requested. This meeting to be held at 8 P. M. on Yfednesday, January 31, 1940. • The secretary was instructed by the chairman to procure stationery for the Zoning Board from the Village Clerk.
