IN THE MATTER OF PETER COLUCCI, FOR C. SOMERSOLL. 171 BEEKMAN
AVENUE. NORTH TARRYTOWN. NEW YORK
Peter Colucci presented the Board with a sample of the vinyl
siding he will be using on the house at 171 Beekman Avenue and
presented photos of homes that he has already completed. Mr.
Colucci stated that he will be using the color cameo. The Board
examined the sample and looked at the photos. Brian Slavin moved
to approve the installation of the siding, seconded by Louis
Falasca and motion carried 6-0.
IN THE MATTER OF PAUL AMENTA.
TARRYTOWN. NEW YORK

2 39 NORTH

BROADWAY.

NORTH

This was a continuation of the discussion from the previous
meeting regarding the panels below the windows.
Paul Amenta
presented plans showing the proposed facade of the building. He
set up samples of the bricks with the flemish bond that will be
below the windows. He stated that he was trying not to make it
too busy since there are many windows. Discussion ensued on the
color of the mortar. Mr. Amenta commented that since mortar is
20% of the facade and if it is too light, you will only see the
mortar and not the brick. When he contracts with the mason, Mr.
Amenta stated that he plans to actually build the soldier course
coming in underneath the window and the running bond because he
wants to tone in on the exact color of the mortar that they plan
to use.
After more discussion, Mr. Louis Falasca made a motion to approve
what was presented to the Board tonight, that is, the flemish
bond and the remainder of the building being the running bond,
second by Mr. Juan Menendez and motion carried. This is the final
approval.
IN THE MATTER OF E. BELLIVEAU. BEEKMAN REALTY. 9 BARNHART AVENUE.
NORTH TARRYTOWN. NEW YORK
This is an application for storefront alteration.

Robert Barstow, architect, was representing Mr. Belliveau. Mr.
Barstow stated that this was originally a bar which no longer
exists and Mr. Belliveau would like to sub-divide this space into
an office for himself and rent out the other. He would like to
have two doors instead of the original one.
Mr. Barstow
presented drawings to the Board. After a brief discussion and a
review of the drawings by the Board, Mr. Juan Menendez moved to
approve the application as drawn by the architect, second by Mr.
Louis Falasca, and application was approved.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Juan Menendez moved to approve the minutes of the May 22,
1991 meeting as written, second by Mrs. Marion Reilly and motion
carried 4-0, with Mr. Frank Arvan and Mr. Louis Falasca
abstaining.
Mr. Juan Menendez moved to approve the minutes of the June 26,
1991 meeting with the following clarifications regarding the
Chestnut Street Condominiums, second by Mr. Robert Barstow and
motion carried 5-0 with Mrs. Marion Reilly abstaining.
1. Remove existing trellis work.
2. Paint trim (stucco protrusions around windows) white.
3. Install new wood shutters the height of the windows on all
south and west facing windows. Not on the dormers.
4.
Install new larger (l'-Cxl'-O") window flower boxes with
decorative molding at the top and brackets supports below (two
for each box). These boxes should extend to the outside edge of
the new shutters.
5. Install a new larger dormer window centered on the street
facade.
6. Install a new wider window on the second level, centered on
the street facade. (In lieu of this, the contractor may propose a
decorative panel for the boards review with the understanding
that the board may reject the panel and insist on the window.)
7. Install a collector and downspouts that center on the entry
roofs. This downspout will penetrate the entry roof and continue
to the subsurface storm drain.
(At a latter discussion the
contractor proposed splitting the downspouts at the entry roof
ridge and installing gutters on the entry roof to catch the run
off. These downspouts would lead to the subsurface storm drain.
8. The contractor would propose an exterior lighting plan for
the boards future approval.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:45PM.
Respectfully submitted,
(-^-y^cxjt^
Angela Everett
Acting Recording Secretary
