Minutes of the Board of Trustees
Village of Sleepy Hollow
A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on
Tuesday, September 4th, 2007 starting at 7:00 P.M. in the boardroom at Village Hall, 28
Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

Also Present: Dwight H. Douglas, Village Administrator
Joel Sachs, Special Counsel (attended first portion of the mtg.)
David Smith, Planning Consultant
Sean McCarthy, Building Inspector
Mayor Zegarelli called the meeting to order. On a motion of Trustee DiFelice, seconded
by Trustee Grala and carried unanimously the board went into executive session to
review a personnel matter. No action was taken during the executive session.
On a motion of Trustee DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Grala and carried unanimously at
7:50 p.m. the Board came out of executive session into its regular work session. A
follow up review of the draft special permit and design guidelines resolutions for the
proposed Lighthouse Landing development was held, led by David Smith and Joel Sachs.

At 8:40 p.m. the Mayor called the Board into special session. On a motion of Trustee
Murray seconded by Trustee Grala and subject to the review, and approval of the Mayor,
the subject department heads, the trustee subcommittee chairs and the Village Treasurer
the warrant of September 4th, 2007 and any vouchers as consolidated in said warrant
were unanimously approved.
The attached resolution was acted upon as shown.
At 8:47 p.m. on a motion of Trustee DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Murray and carried
unanimously the special meeting was adjourned.

Resolution of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Scheduling a Public Hearing to Adopt Flood Plain Management Regulations
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow hereby
confirms the Mayor's action in scheduling a public hearing to be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
September 18, 2007, to consider the repeal of its existing flood plain regulations in the Village
Code of the Village of Sleepy Hollow and to consider the adoption of a local law to comply with
the regulation and administration of its Flood Plain Management as required by the Federal
Emergency Management Administration (FEMA).

Vote: Unanimous
