January 22nd, 1992 A regular meeting of the Architectural Review Board was held on the above date at Village Hall, North Tarrytown, New York. PRESENT: Frank Arvan, Chairman Marion Reilly Robert Barstow Louis Falasca ABSENT: Juan Menendez Brian Slavin ALSO PRESENT: James T. Margotta, Building Inspector Chairman Arvan called the meeting to order at 8 P.M. 1. Applicant: H.A.P. Owner: Irene Callas, 66 Beekman Avenue, Sign Permit Applicant presented pictures of proposed sign to the Board for their review. After a discussion Mr. Arvan stated that the sign did not conform to the code. Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Ms. Reilly that the application be denied as the sign does not conform to the code. 2. Applicant: WHN Contracting. Owner: Ken & Susan Dengler, 482 Bellwood Avenue, Screened in porch. Applicant presented pictures and plans to the Board for their review. He stated that the existing screened in porch was being enclosed with glass. After a discussion, Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. Barstow that application be approved as submitted. Carried. 3. Applicant: Adele & Thomas Curtin, 11 Beekman Avenue, Vinyl siding. Mr. Curtin presented pictures and samples of the siding to be installed on the building at 11 Beekman Avenue. He informed the Board he would like to install the hiding to clean up the building. A discussion followed regarding signs, awnings, drains and down spouts, and the general condition of the premises. Mr. Curtin stated there might be new tenants in the building and they will appear before the Board if they intend to make renovations. �ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD REGULAR MEETING NORTH TARRYTOWN, NEW YORK FEBRUARY 26, 1992 A regular meeting of the Architectural Review Board was held on the above date at Village Hall, North Tarrytown, New York. WHN Contracting, Inc., 491 Bellwood Avenue-Addition to to premises. Contractor presented revised plans and pictures of project to members for their review. After a discussion, Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Ms. Reilly that the plans be approved as submitted. Unanimously Carried. 2. Alberto Angel & Rodrigo Cano, 137 Valley Street-Sign. Representative for applicants presented pictures of sign to be installed at 137 Valley Street. Chairman Arvan stated that the sign did not conform to the code and a discussion followed. Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. Slavin to reject the application as submitted. Unanimously carried. Applicant was instructed to resubmit another drawing to the Building Inspector, conforming to the code and it would be approved at the next meeting. 3_. Albert Shrive-113 Beekman Avenue-Sign and awning. Mr. Shrive presented plans and pictures of canopy to be installed at 113 Beekman Avenue. He stated that the �4 -2- sign would conform to the Code. The awning would conform to other awnings in the area. He stated he would be opening a retail store for the sale of hearing aids and supplied. After a discussion, Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. Slavin that the application be approved with the following conditions: Canopy would be the width of the facade, letter height to be approximately 12 inches,width letter maximum seventy-five per cent of storefront, no lettering on sides of canopy, and maximum projection of canopy. Unanimouily carried, There being no further business to come before the meeting, Mr. Slavin moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca that the same be duly adjourned. Unanimously carried.
