                  <text>Minutes of the Board of Trustees
Village of Sleepy Hollow
A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on Tuesday,
October 21st, 2008 starting at 7:00 P.M. in the boardroom at Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue,
Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

Mayor Philip E. Zegarelli
Kay Brown Grala
Thomas Capossela
Karin T. Wompa
David L. Schroedel
Kenneth G. Wray

Trustees

Maria DeMilia-Powers (Absent)
Also Present: Anthony Giaccio, Village Administrator
Sean McCarthy, Village Architect
Rich Gross, General Foreman
Mayor Zegarelli called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT CLERK - The Board discussed a resolution to hire a third person
to assist in the Building Department in reorganizing its filing system.
VERIZON PEG CHANNEL- Mr. Giaccio reported that he met with a representative from
Verizon to discuss setting up the Village's FIOS PEG access channel.
NEW BROADWAY STOP SIGN - Trustee Wray asked the Village Board to set a public
hearing to install a stop sign on New Broadway.
PHILIPS MANOR BOAT CLUB DREDGING -The Board discussed the proposed Philipse
Manor Boat Club Dredging Project. Trustee Grala recommended contacting General Motors
regarding this matter.
SPECIAL SESSION
At 7:28 p.m., on a motion made by Trustee Wray and seconded by Trustee Grala and carried
unanimously, the Board moved to special session.
Motion was made by Trustee Schroedel and seconded by Trustee Wray to approve a resolution
indemnifying the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery during the Haunted Hayride The motion passed 6-0.

�CLAIMS AND BUDGET TRANFERS - The Board reviewed claims and budget transfers.
CROTON AQUEDUCT SHUTDOWN - The Mayor reported that The New York State
Department of Health will postpone its plans of temporarily shutting down the Catskill
Aqueduct.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 7:35 p.m., on a motion made by Trustee Schroedel and seconded by Trustee Wray, the Board
moved to executive session to discuss legal matters related to General Motors.
At 8:30 p.m., on a motion made by Trustee Wray and seconded by Trustee Capossela and
carried unanimously, the executive session was adjourned.
RIVER'S EDGE - Joe Cotter, Lynn Ward and Paul Janos gave a presentation on a proposal to
redevelop the Castle Oil site.
