Mayor Wray called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.
FORMER DURACELL PROPERTY- Representatives from NYSDOH and NYSDEC updated
the Board on plans to retest certain areas in and around the old Duracell Property to determine if
there are any contaminants in the area. The site was cleaned in the late 80's and early 90's and
was taken off the State's Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites in early 1994. A
recent discovery of mercury on a residential property prompted the re-testing. The Village
Board requested that the senior center, Bamhart Park and the parking lot be re-tested. Tests
results will be available towards the end of the summer. The results will determine the next
course of action. The Board will have another work session once the tests results are in.
At 7:18 p.m., The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,

Anthony Giaccio
Village Administrator
