Resolution Promoting Officer Corona to Serjeant of Police
WHEREAS, adequate supervision within any police agency is essential to its efficient
operation; and
WHEREAS, the promotion of Sergeant Anthony Bueti to Lieutenant has created a
vacancy in the position of Sergeant; and
WHEREAS, in order to maintain the efficiency of department operations this position
should be filled as quickly as possible; and
WHEREAS, Police Officer Felix Corona has taken the competitive Civil Service
examination for the position of Sergeant of Police and presently is on the Civil Service
List for the position; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended that Police Officer Corona be
promoted to the rank of Sergeant of Police; and,
WHEREAS, the Trustees that comprise the Public Safety Committee for the Village of
Sleepy Hollow concur with the Chiefs recommendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Sleepy Hollow hereby promotes Police Officer Felix Corona to the rank of Sergeant of
Police, from Civil Service Eligible List #77-075 and, said promotion to become effective
Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at an annual salary of $100,897.00 and subject to a
probationary period of twelve (12) weeks and the approval of the Westchester County
Department of Human Resources.

General Motors License Agreement for Village Events
Whereas, the Village is desirous of sponsoring and/or participating in four events
during the Spring and Summer which will provide recreational and economic
opportunities for residents and local businesses, to wit:
The Sleepy Hollow Half Marathon held on March 26, 2011 and,
The Sprint Triathalon to be held on June 12, 2011 and,
Hudson River Swimathon to be held on September 10, 2011 and,
The July 4th Fireworks display to be held on July 4, 2011 and
Whereas, the Village has requested access and use of the General Motors site to
accommodate the events and General Motors has approved the request;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved the Board of Trustees authorizes the Mayor to
execute the attached licensing Agreement with General Motors; and
Be I t Further Resolved the Board of Trustees directs the Village Administrator to
obtain all the necessary insurance documents from all non-Village participants in the
events.
