                  <text>Minutes of the Board of Trustees
Village of Sleepy Hollow
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow held a Work Session on Tuesday,
December 20, 2011 at the Sleepy Hollow Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow,
New York.

Mayor Wray called the work session to order at 7:15 p.m.
M A Y O R ' S A N N O U N C E M E N T AND PRESENTATION - Mayor Wray wished everyone a
happy holiday season. Mayor Wray recognized Officer Wendy Yancey and Officer Stephen
Dougherty for their efforts in helping to deliver a baby in the back seat of a patrol car. The newmother and child were also present and were given a proclamation.
DPW HOLIDAY S C H E D U L E - Deputy Mayor Capossela announced that there will be no
garbage pick-up on Monday December, 26, 2011 and Monday, January 2, 2012 for the holidays.
PEDESTRIAN SAFETY AT M O R S E SCHOOL - Trustee Wompa requested a meeting with
school officials to discuss pedestrian safety at Morse School. This morning, a child was hit by a
car crossing Pocantico Street. Fortunately the child was not seriously injured. Mr. Giaccio will
arrange the meeting.
CODE REVISIONS - The Board continued its discussion on code revisions. The Board
discussed the architectural review board, storm water management and the tree policy.
Discussion ensued. The Mayor asked that the January 10 work session be devoted entirely to the
code revisions.

�MEETING CANCELLED - Next week's Board meeting has been canceled. The January
meeting schedule is as follows:

Work Session at Kendal on Hudson

A M B U L A N C E CORPS - Ambulance Corps Chief, Shelly Glover announced that several
people have been interviewed to become members of the ambulance corps. Ms. Glover also
recommended that Dana Guzzo be hired to handle paperwork related to third party billing.
NORTH EAST RECREATION AGREEMENT - The Board reviewed an inter-municipal
agreement for therapeutic recreation services.
DEVRIES PARK PLAYGROUND CHANGE ORDER - The Board reviewed a change order
request from Vernon Hills for the Devries Park Playground. The change order is for $1,000.
ENGINEER PROPOSAL FOR ICHABOD'S LANDING - The Board reviewed a proposal
submitted by McLaren Engineering to inspect the Riverwalk bulkhead at Ichabod's Landing.
SPECIAL SESSION
At 8:20 p.m., on a motion made by Trustee Campbell and seconded by Trustee Carr and carried
unanimously the Board moved to special session.
Motion was made by Trustee Campbell and seconded by Trustee Capossela to authorize the
Mayor to sign a proposal submitted by McLaren Engineering to inspect the bulkhead along the
Riverwalk at Ichabod's Landing pending approval by the Village Attorney. The motion passed
5-0.
Motion was made by Trustee Carr and seconded by Trustee Campbell to move out of special
session. The motion passed 5-0.
At 8:25 p.m. the meeting was adjourned.
