Set Public Hearing Regarding 2012-2013 Tentative Budget

that the Board of Trustees hereby schedules a public hearing be held
at 7 pm, or shortly thereafter, on Tuesday, March 27th 2012, at Village Hall, 28
Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York to hear and consider comments from
members of the public regarding the 2012-2013 Tentative budget.
Residents of the Village of Sleepy Hollow are entitled to attend and be heard at said
hearing. Village Hall is accessible to the handicapped.

Resolution to Set Public Hearing to Override Property Tax Cap

General Municipal Law Section 3-C requires that a real property tax levy
imposed by local governments not exceed the "tax levy limit" as defined by local
municipal law 3-C; and
Whereas,

General Municipal Law 3-C expressly authorizes a local government
governing body to override the property tax cap for the coming fiscal year by the
adoption of a local law approved by a sixty percent (60%) of said governing body; and

Whereas,

the Village of Sleepy Hollow has not yet made a determination as to whether
it will need to override "the tax levy limit" for the coming fiscal year.

Whereas,

the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the
Village Clerk to publish a Public Hearing notice for a hearing to be held on March 2ih,
2012 at 7:00 pm, or shortly thereafter, to consider the adoption of a local law
authorizing the Village of Sleepy Hollow to override the property tax cap for the coming
fiscal year.

Whereas, the Board of Assessment Review convened on February
21st , 2012 to review tax grievance complaints filed by the owners of
104 properties located within the Village of Sleepy Hollow; and
Whereas, the Board has reviewed the Memorandum from Village
Assessor Fred Gross attached hereto and made a part of this record
containing his recommendations with regard to each of the tax
grievance complaints;
Now, therefore, be it resolved the Board of Assessment Review
hereby approves the grievances and reduces the assessments of
those properties as recommended by the Assessor on the review
sheet attached hereto; denies and/or dismisses the grievances of all
other properties as recommended by the Assessor as contained in
the review sheet attached hereto.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow to
Approve Reimbursement for Police Officer's Training

Police Officer Nicholas Fiorisi has submitted a notification of intent to attend
a training seminar regarding a street crimes program;

Whereas,

the Board of Trustees, upon the recommendation of
the Chief of Police hereby approves the reimbursement for the training upon
presentation of a certificate of completion, pursuant to the Village's collective
bargaining agreement with the PBA.
