Present: Mayor Kenneth G. Wray Deputy Mayor Karin Wompa Bruce Campbell Jennifer Lobato-Church Susan MacFarlane Evelyn Stupel Barbara Carr Trustees Also Present: Anthony Giaccio, Village Administrator Sara DiGiacomo, Village Treasurer Rich Gross, General Foreman Sean McCarthy, Village Architect Anthony Bueti, Police Lieutenant Rich D'lessandro, Police Sergeant Mayor Wray called the work session to order at 7:05 p.m. RENEW AUDITOR'S CONTRACT - Sara DiGiacomo recommended renewing a contract with O'Connor Davies Munns & Dobbins to complete the Village's annual audit.. Ms. DiGiacomo is pleased with their performance and feels they are worthy of a contract extension for another year. DPW/SANITATION RECOMMENDATIONS - Trustee Stupel made some recommendations regarding the sanitation schedule and fees. The recommendations include having a trial period for one day a week pick-up, charging a fee for bulk pick-up and charging a move-out fee. Discussion ensued. ROUTE 9 ENGINEER PROPOSAL - Mr. Giaccio recommended retaining engineer Jim Hahn for the Route 9 Streetscape project. Mr. Hahn is very familiar with this project and helped to complete the preliminary design. MINORITY AND WOMAN OWNED BUSINESS POLICY - The Board reviewed a draft policy for minority and woman owned businesses. The Board needs to set an equal employment opportunity policy in order to be eligible to receive a grant for the Horseman Pier Study Project. This grant requirement may also apply to future State grants. Discussion ensued. �TRAFFIC PRESENTATION - Police Lieutenant, Anthony Bueti and Police Sergeant, Rich D'lessandro made a presentation to the Board regarding traffic data they collected throughout the Village. The Police Department uses a device called JAMAR that collects traffic data inconspicuously. Discussion ensued. FIRE DEPARTMENT OPEN HOUSE - The Board reviewed a request made by the fire department to hold an open house on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 10:00 to 2:00. BATHHOUSE LEASE AGREEMENTS - The Board discussed the Kathryn W. Davis bathhouse lease agreements. The Board discussed the idea of sending out new RFP's to see if any other organizations are interested in renting out the space. Trustee Campbell was in favor of this idea. Trustee MacFarlane requested a copy of last year's RFP. OKTOBERFEST - Trustee MacFarlane announced that there will be an Oktoberfest at the Kingsland Point Park bathhouse on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 2:00-6:00.
