JUNE 22nd, 1994 A regular meeting of the North Tarrytown Architectural Review Board was held on June 22nd, 1994 at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, North Tarrytown, New York. PRESENT: ALSO PRESENT ABSENT: at 8:00 1. James Nazemetz, Chairman Brian Slavin Louis Falasca Kevin McCarthy Elvira Aloia Jeff McGovern, Attorney James Margotta, Building Insp Marian Reilly Juan Menendez Chairman Nazemetz called P.M. Contrardo Maueira, 57 Chestnut the meeting to order Street-Renovation. M s . Maueira representing her father outlined the proposed renovation stating that they would be installing new walls, new doors and new plantings and would be creating two parking spaces. M s . Maueira presented plans and drawings of the proposed renovation. Mr. Margotta stated that building permits have been taken out to repair the building and the owner would like permission to put two parking spaces in front of the property. Mr. Slavin stated he was not in favor of installing parking in front of the house. Discussion followed regarding parking in front of the house and the distance from the sidewalk to the building. It was stated that the existing porches would be removed and Mr. McCarthy suggested that shutters be installed. Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by M r . McCarthy that the plans be approved as submitted and that shutters be installed and a louvered dormer with screen be install as shown on approved drawings. Carried. Chairman Nazemetz stated that a letter will be sent to the applicant after their application is approved informing them that their application and drawings are approved. Copy of letter in official minutes. �-2Mr. Nazametz stated that in the future if there are additions or deletions plans must be re-submitted to the Board for their approval. 2. Philipse Manor and type Manor as lit by a leaf and Improvement Associatioh-Signs. Discussion was held regarding the size, color of sign to be installed at the entrance to Philips outlined in the application. The sign will be spotlight from the ground up and will be gold blue. Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy that the application be approved as submitted.'''Carried . 3. Dr. Ana LeRoy-232 No. Washington Street-Sign. Application submitted by R.D.G. General located at 230 North Washington Street requesting for signs that are presently in their window. Inc. permissio After a discussion Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy that the application be denied and the applicant be directed to return to next month's meeting after conferring with the Building Inspector as to the type of signs that are permitted under the code. Carried. Chairman Nazemetz stated that the present signs could remain until they submit their new application. 4. Brian & Joanne Collins, 146 Webber Avenue-"As built" stairs and porch col. -Postponed. Mr. Hargotta stated that the applicant would like the matter postponed until the July meeting. MINUTES Mr. Slavin moved, seconded by M r s . Aloia that the minutes of May 25th, 1994 be approved as submitted. Carried. Trustee Hayes stated he was attending the meeting as a liaison between the Board of Trustees and the Architectural Review Board. Chairman Nazemetz stated that the next of the Board would be held on July 27th, 1994. meeting There being no further business to come before the meeting Mr. Slavin moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy that the same be duly adjourned.
