                  <text>Minutes of the Board of Trustees
Village of Sleepy Hollow
A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on Tuesday,
September17,2013 at 7:00 P.M. at Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New
York.

Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church called the work session to order at 7:05 p.m.
TELEVISION SCROLL - Trustee MacFarlane updated the Board on the television scroll. The
scroll is now working and updates will be done in the Clerk's office.
CAPITAL PROJECTS - The Board reviewed a revised list of capital projects. Village
Treasurer, Sara DiGiacomo answered questions from the Board and informed them about how
the bond process works. No action was taken.
HALLOWEEN BROCHURE - The Board discussed the bid results for the Halloween
brochure. The cost of the brochure in being funded by a New York State marketing grant which
requires that 20% of the grant be spent on a New York State certified minority or woman owned
business.
POLICE OFFICER REIMBURSEMENT - The Board reviewed a memo from Chief Camp
regarding training reimbursement for a police officer. Discussion ensued.
SNOW AND ICE AGREEMENT The Board reviewed a draft snow and ice agreement with
the New York State Department of Transportation.

�PART-TIME RECREATION EMPLOYEES - The Board discussed a request made by the
recreation supervisor to hire part-time workers for the after-school program. The Board
requested background checks be done on these individuals before they are hired.
SYKES PARK REQUEST - The Board reviewed a request from the Junior League of
Westchester to use Sykes Park on September 28, 2013 from 10:00-1:00 for a family fun day.
BLOCK PARTY REQUEST - The Board reviewed a request from Cynthia Ofer to have a
block party on Farrington Avenue on September 28, 2013 from 4:30-11:00pm
BLOCK PARTY REQUEST - The Board reviewed a request from Christine Dyer to have a
block party on Devries Avenue on September 15. The Board needed more information about the
request and so the matter was tabled.
PROCESSION REQUEST - The Board reviewed a request from St. Teresa's Church to have a
procession on October 5, 2013 from 6:00-7:00.
MEETING CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT - Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church reminded
residents that the September 10, 2013 Board meeting will be held at Kendal on Hudson at
7:00pm and that there will be a public hearing on Kendal's special permit application.

At 9:00 p.m. the meeting was adjourned.
