Present: Mayor Kenneth G. Wray Deputy Mayor Jennifer Lobato-Church Karin Wompa Bruce Campbell Susan MacFarlane Glenn Rosenbloom Evelyn Stupel, Trustees Also Present: Anthony Giaccio, Village Administrator Janet Gandolfo, Village Attorney Rich Gross, General Foreman Greg Camp, Police Chief Mayor Wray called the work session to order at 7:05 p.m. AUTOMATED W A T E R METER READERS - Tom Sprague of Schmidt's Wholesale Inc. made a presentation to the Board regarding an automated water meter reading system. The Board had several questions including potential health risks. Mayor Wray asked Mr. Sprague and Rich Gross to do an analysis on how much savings will result if an automated system is installed. CAPITAL PROJECTS - The Board discussed capital projects. Mayor Wray read a list of proposed projects that he felt the Board had consensus on. There was a debate regarding some of the items. Mayor Wray asked that a bond resolution be prepared for the next Board meeting. BLACKBOARD CONNECT - Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church summarized a proposal from Blackboard Connect to provide an emergency alert system. The cost of the proposal is approximately $8,700 per year. PEG funds are available to fund this project for the first year. Discussion ensued. Mayor Wray asked that the School be contacted to see if the cost of this system can be shared between the School and Village. TREES ON BEEKMAN AVENUE - Mayor Wray started the discussion on trees along Beekman Avenue. There is a concern that the root systems of these trees are damaging the Village's infrastructure. The matter was referred to the Tree Committee. SPECIAL SESSION On a motion made by Trustee Wompa and seconded by Trustee Stupel and carried unanimously the Board moved to special session. �On a motion made by Trustee MacFarlane and seconded by Trustee Stupel and carried unanimously the Board approved salary adjustments for non-union employees (resolution attached) On a motion made by Trustee Wompa and seconded by Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church and carried unanimously the Board moved out of special session.
