                  <text>The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow held a meeting on Tuesday, November
26, 2013 Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

Mayor Kenneth G. Wray
Deputy Mayor Jennifer Lobato-Church - late 7:26pm

At 7:04 p.m. Mayor Wray called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag and a moment
of silence for Robert Gillich, also known as Beekman Bob; a longtime resident of Sleepy
Hollow.
Approval of Warrants:
Trustee MacFarlane moved; Trustee Rosenbloom seconded, approved the warrant as
submitted and authorizes the Village Treasurer to pay the bills in the total of $567,381.08
It was unanimous.
Approval of Minutes:
Trustee MacFarlane moved. Trustee Stupel seconded to approve the minutes of November
19, 2013; a s submitted, subject to minor typographical errors. Carried: 4 - 0
Trustee Campbell and Trustee Wompa abstained.
Trustee Campbell moved, Trustee Rosenbloom seconded to approve the minutes of
November 12, 2013, a s submitted, subject to minor typographical errors Carried: 6-0
Trustee Campbell moved. Trustee Stupel seconded to approve the minutes of November 5,
2013 a s submitted, subject to minor typographical errors. Carried: 6 - 0
Trustee Campbell moved. Trustee Wompa seconded to approve the minutes of September
10, 2013 a s submitted, subject to minor typographical errors c h a n g e s . Carried: 6-0
Mavor Announcements:
Mayor Wray thanked Mr. Nick Cicchetti for his long-term service to the Planning Board.

�Mr. Cicchetti will be resigning his position with the Board at the end of this year.
Mayor shared a letter received by a local resident complimenting the Public Works employees
on a recent paving job.
Mayor Wray asked for a motion to go into executive session to discuss a personnel matter.
At 7:12pm, on a motion by Trustee Wompa, seconded by Trustee Stupel, the Board went
into executive session.
At 7:38 p.m., on a motion by Trustee Campbell, moved by Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church,
the Board close the executive session. No action was taken.
Trustee Reports:
Trustee Rosenbloom: reported for Recreation and Parks and stated that the basketball
program is now accepting applications from
grade until
grade.
The Recreation Dept. is doing a gingerbread house contest starting December
and will
end on December 20'^ There is also a snowman contest, and Santa's drop off mail box is
accepting letters. Contact Robin Pell for additional details.
Trustee MacFarlane - reported that the new media equipment has been installed and the
old equipment will be donated to the High School. Trustee MacFarlane thanked the Village of
Tarrytown for helping out by lending some of their media equipment.
The new website is being worked on and pictures of all Dept Heads attached to their
departments may be a good idea.
Trustee Campbell - reported for Intergovernmental Relations Committee and stated that
soon a follow up meeting will be scheduled with the Village of Tarrytown to discuss a
possible recreation merger between the two Villages.
Trustee Wompa - reported for the Finance Committee and stated that property owners
with village tax in arrears will be receiving letters.
Trustee Wompa asked Village Administrator to meet with Dept. Heads to discuss overtime
funds. The Downtown Revitalization is putting together a committee to discuss how to use
and advertise for the empty store fronts
The Village calendar for 2014 will have historical pictures of the Village and may be ready by
January.
Trustee Stupel; reported for the Building Dept. and Public Works; stated that building court
will meet again on December
and there are 15 cases on the calendar.
Public Works continue to pick up leaves every week and asked the public to blow the leaves
away from storm drains. On Friday, November 29'^ the Sanitation Dept. will be picking up
household garbage only.
Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church - reported for Public Health &amp; Safety and, thanked the Fire
Dept. for a job well done at a recent home fire on Cortlandt Street.

On a motion by Trustee Campbell, seconded by Trustee Wompa, the Police Chief was
directed to bag the meters for the holiday season, starting December 16, 2013 and ending
January 5, 2014. It was unanimous.
Old Business:
Trustee Stupel asked for a discussion at the next Work Session to discuss the condition of
some sanitation vehicles and bulk pick up.
Trustee Stupel also requested a cost analysis for this year's events, such as Oktoberfest, lOK
run, and Halloween.
Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church suggested the committee meet and discuss.
New Business:
Trustee Wompa asked to have a public hearing to amend the code regarding one and two
family homes.

There were no public comments at this time.

At 8:35pm, on a motion by Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church, seconded by Trustee Wompa the
the meeting was adjourned.
