https://sleepyhollow.localarchives.org/files/original/4eab3d88dec1d820c41a00038d48fa5d.pdf 7c263e81c1fc3d1baba6f9613cbe24aa PDF Text Text Meeting Date: Resolution #: 02/11/2014 02/21-A/2014 Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow to Adopt Home Rule Request Whereas, the Board of Trustees (BOT) is desirous of addressing the limited parking condition in certain locations of the Village with high population density in close proximity to the Tarrytown Train Station; and WHEREAS, The Village of Sleepy Hollow Board of Trustee held a public hearing on January 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. to hear and consider comments regarding the implementation of permit parking for the following areas: Valley Street (south of College Avenue); Beekman Avenue (west of Hudson Street); and River Street; and WHEREAS, since the Village does not have the authority to enact such legislation by local law, the Village must request that the State act on the matter through the adoption of a Home Rule Request; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow does hereby adopt a Home Rule Request asking the state legislature to adopt a bill permitting permit parking on Valley Street (south of College Avenue); Beekman Avenue (west of Hudson Street); and River Street. Move: Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church Vote: 6-0 Seconded: Trustee Rosenbloom �Meeting Date: 02/11/2014 Resolution #: 02/21-A/2014 RESOLUTION ADOPTING LOCAL LAW NO. 1 OF 2014 TO ADD A NO TURN ON RED RESTRICTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF HUDSON TERRACE AND ROUTE 9 Whereas, the Board of Trustees (BOT) held a public hearing on February 4, 2014 to hear and consider comments from the public regarding the restriction of right turns on red at the intersection of Hudson Terrace and Route 9; and Wiiereas, no member of the public spoke against the restriction; and Whereas, the BOT believes that it would be in the interests of public safety to prohibit right turns on red at the intersection NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOT hereby adopts Local Law No. 1 of 2014 to amend the Village Code Section 400 - 6 (c) to prohibit right turns on red at Hudson Terrace, at the intersection of Hudson Terrace and Route 9, for motor vehicles travelling in a westerly direction. Move: Trustee Campbell Second: Trustee MacFarlane Vote: 6-0 �Meeting Date: 02/11/2014 Resolution #: 02/21-A/2014 RESOLUTION ADOPTING LOCAL LAW NO. 2 OF 2014 TO ADD A NO TURN ON RED RESTRICTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF PHELPS WAY AND ROUTE 9 Whereas, the Board of Trustees (BOX) held a public hearing on February 4, 2014 to hear and consider comments from the public regarding the restriction of right turns on red at the intersection of Phelps Way and Route 9; and Whereas, no member of the public spoke against the restriction; and Whereas, the BOX believes that it would be in the interests of public safety to prohibit right turns on red at the intersection, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOX hereby adopts Local Law No. 2 of 2014 to amend the Village Code Section 400 - 6 (c) to prohibit right turns on red at Phelps Way, at the intersection of Phelps Way and Route 9, for motor vehicles travelling in a easterly direction. Move: XrusteeWompa Second: Xrustee Rosenbloom Vote: 6-0 �Meeting Date: 02/11/2014 Resolution #: 02/21-A/2014 RESOLUTION ADOPTING LOCAL LAW NO. 3 OF 2014 TO AMEND THE VILLAGE ORDINANCE, ENTITLED ZONING, SECTION 450-66 B (1) Wiiereas, the Board of Trustees (BOT) held a public hearing on February 4, 2014 to hear and consider comments from the public regarding the requirement of site plan review for one and two-family residences by the Planning Board to be re-instated to the Village Code; and Wiiereas, the BOT has considered all of the comments, both written and oral, that were submitted at the Public Hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved the BOT is desirous of amending the Village Code, Section 450-66 B (1) to delete the words "with the exception of detached singlefamily and two-family homes."
