Authorizing Mayor to Execute Contract with
SPCA for Fiscal Year 2014-2015
Be It Resolved that the Mayor is herein authorized to execute the attached
Agreement between the Village of Sleepy Hollow and SPCA of Westchester, Inc.
for the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 at an annual cost of $3,360.00 which remains the
same as last year.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Hiring Seasonal Parks Attendants
WHEREAS, a need for seasonal Parks Security Staff are necessary; and
WHEREAS, in order to maintain safety of visitors and to staff the Kingsland
Point Park booth, these positions should be filled as quickly as possible; and
WHEREAS ShavorHennegan, Nadine Attaway, Jermaine Garrant, Jonathan
McRae and Emely Nova (returning employee) submitted applications after the
village’s advertisement, and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended thatShavorHennegan, Nadine
Attaway, Jermaine Garrant, Jonathan McRae and Emely Nova, be hired on a
seasonal basis to fill these positions for up to four months.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow hereby approves that ShavorHennegan, Nadine
Attaway, JermaineGarrant, Jonathan McRae and Emely Nova be hired on a
seasonal basis to work as seasonal Parks Security Staff and to staff the Kingsland
Point Park booth for the Village of Sleepy Hollow at a salary rate of $12.00 per
hour, effective June 24, 2014 under the direct supervision of the Police Chief.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Authorizing Award of Contract for a Reproduction 4th Order Fresnel
Lens for the Lighthouse to Artworks Florida
WHEREAS, the Village is desirous of reinstalling a 4th Order Fresnel lens in the
Lighthouse for purposes of authenticity and education. The original lens was
removed from the Lighthouse when it was decommissioned, presumably by the
U.S. Coast Guard, and the Coast Guard have advised that they have no records
to indicate where it is; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees on May 27, 2014 authorized the Village
Administrator to bid the fabrication and installation in the lighthouse of a
reproduction rotating 4th Order Fresnel lens, a reproduction rotating pedestal,
lamp housing and lamp; and
WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals (RFP) was advertised on the Village of
Sleepy Hollow’s website as well as in the Journal News; and
WHEREAS, one proposal was received in response to the RFP, from Artworks
Florida with a cost of $34,500 which cost includes delivery and installation; and
WHEREAS, the Village Administrator has checked the references provided by
Artworks Florida, all of which are satisfactory.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow authorizes the award of a contract to Artworks Florida of
1509 Chapman Oak Court, Kissimmee FL 34747 for the fabrication and
installation of a 4th order rotating Fresnel lens, 4th order rotating pedestal and
gear motor assembly, LED lamp, reproduction lamp housing and adjustable light
shield in the amount of $34,500.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Administrator is herein authorized
to take any and all such steps as are necessary to effectuate the intent of this
resolution.
