                  <text>The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow held a meeting on Tuesday, January
12, 2016 at Village Hall 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

Mayor Kenneth G. Wray
Deputy Mayor Jennifer Lobato-Church
John Leavy
Dorothy Handelman
Glenn Rosenbloom, Trustees

Absent: Denise Scaglione
Karin Wompa, Trustees
Also Present: Anthony P. Giaccio, Village Administrator
Paula A. McCarthy Tompkins, Village Clerk
Sara DIGiacomo, Village Clerk
Clinton Smith, Village Counsel
Sean E. McCarthy, Village Building Inspector
Gregory Camp, Village Police Chief
At 7:04 p.m. Mayor Wray called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag and a moment
of silence for 87 years old, Miriam Edwards and 95 year old Edith Molar. Our thoughts are
with their families and friends.
Public Comments:

Mayor Wray opened the meeting to the public and invoked the 3 minute rule.
There were no public comments at this time.
Mayor announcements:

Mayor Wray thanked the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department, and other neighboring
Departments, for their quick and efficient response to a house fire on Hudson Terrance.
Mayor Wray thanked Mrs. Josephine Galgano for her years of dedicated service to the
seniors, and welcomed Mrs. Susan McCarthy as the new president.
Administrator's Report: (see attached)
Department Head Reports:

Ricliard Gross. General Foreman, addressed the Board and reported that the East Parcel
of the former GM sight has been cleaned out of brush, leaves and debris.
The street polls have been completed.
Discussion ensued regarding street opening permits. Trustee Leavy thanked Mr. Gross for
allowing Bob O'Connell, Public Works Mechanic to take the time to evaluate a fire truck that

�the Fire Department would like to purchase.
Robin Pell. Recreation Supervisor, addressed the Board of Trustees and stated that the
Cookies &amp; Milk with Santa event was a success and well attended.
Arbor Day was also a success back In November, the after school program kids, assisted In
planting two new trees at Barnhart Park.
Mrs. Pell reported that Jr Smith will return to assist with the summer camp this year.
The Color Run marathon will take place again In June, as It was a huge success last year.
Mrs. Pell asked the Board to consider allowing her to run a sports camp at KIngsland Point
Park this upcoming summer, as It was done many years ago. She believes that although the
current camp Is combined with Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow should have Its own.
Public Comments:

Mrs. Susan McCarthy Introduced herself as new president of the North Tarrytown Seniors.
She welcomes children to visit and join In on programs. She stated the seniors meet on the
and
Mondays of the month, and will continue to meet on other days for other
activities. She's looking forward to working closely with staff and Board members.
Resolutions: (see attached)
Communications;

Paula McCarthy Tompkins, Village Clerk, stated that there Is a tab on the Village's website to
view event pictures.
The motion picture "Drunk Parents" will take place at a home In Westvlew Circle for about 10
days, starting two famous actors. Alec Baldwin and Selma Hayeck.

At 8:15 pm, Deputy Mayor Lobato-Church moved, and Trustee Leavy seconded to go Into
executive session to discuss a potential litigation Issue and personnel matter.
At 9:00 pm on a motion by Trustee Handelman, Seconded by Trustee Leavy the Board exited
the executive session.
At 9:00 pm on a motion by Trustee Handelman, Seconded by Trustee Leavy the meeting was
adjourned.
