                  <text>Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Authorizing Agreement Extension for 2016/2017
^^Indexed Lump Sum Municipal Snow and Ice Agreement"
WHEREAS, the Village of Sleepy Hollow has provided snow and ice control services on
a continuous basis since 1997 for 9.1 lane miles of roadway located in the Village of
Sleepy Hollow and owned by the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Sleepy Hollow and the State of New York have now reached
an equitable lump sum payment of $1,578.00 per lane miles for a total of $14,359.80
to the Village for said services for the snow season of 2014/2015 and more fully
described in the attached Agreement to Extend Indexed Lump Sum Municipal Snow and
Ice Agreement" (herein ''Agreement").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Board herein authorizes the
Mayor to execute the attached Agreement and to take other such steps as are
necessary to effectuate the intent of this resolution.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Setting Public Hearing to Adopt Tax Exemption for Senior Citizens
Assessment Sliding Scale
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees does hereby call for a Public
Hearing on Tuesday, September 27^, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter, to
consider a Resolution pursuant to New York State Real Property Tax Law
Section 467.1(a) to exempt real property owned by persons 65 years of age or
over who qualify under the provisions of New York State Real Property Tax
Law Section 467 as to occupancy, income, length of ownership, and
otherwise, to the extent allowed under the schedule set forth in New York
State Real Property Tax Law Section 467.1(b)(1)

�Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Appointing Laborer Position in the Department Public Works
Whereas, tliere is an opening In the Departnfient of Public Works for a Laborer
position, and
Whereas, the position has been properly posted and advertised, and
Whereas, General Foreman, Richard Gross, and Village Administrator, Anthony Giaccio
conducted Interviews for these positions, and
Whereas, the General Foreman, Richard Gross, and Village Administrator, Anthony
Giaccio, recommend Clarence Sharrock for the position of Laborer In the Department
of Public Works, and
Now Be It Resolved the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow approves
the Mayor's appointment of Clarence Sharrock of Sleepy Hollow, NY, to the position of
Laborer at an annual salary of $69, 194.00, effective September 14, 2016, and
Be It Further Resolved that there will be a 30 month period in which Mr. Sharrock
will only receive 90% of his annual salary per the collective bargaining agreement
Article IV, Section 2, and all other terms and conditions of the collective bargaining
agreement between the Village of Sleepy Hollow and the Local 456 International
Brotherhood of Teamsters shall apply, and
Be It Further Resolved that said appointment is subject to the approval of the
Westchester County Department of Human Resources and a probationary period of
twelve to fifty two weeks.

Confirming the Actions of the Ambulance Corps
Whereas, the Board of Trustees approves tlie actions and recommendations of the
Ambulance Corps Members, as stated in the enclosed memo to the Board,
Be It Resolved, that the Board of Trustees directs the Village Clerk to notify the
Ambulance Chief in writing of this resolution.

�RESOLUTION REGARDING LIQUOR LICENSE OF POCOS LLC
WHEREAS, the Village has received notice pursuant to Section 110-b of the New York State
Alcohol and Beverage Control Law that Pocos LLC has applied for a liquor license in connection with the
sale of alcoholic beverages at a restaurant located at 31 Beekman Avenue in the Village; and
WHEREAS, the notice provides the Village with a thirty (30) day period in which to consider
the said application, but in accordance with the above mentioned law, the Village may waive the thirty
(30) days if it has no objection to the Issuance of the license; and
WHEREAS, the Village Board is advised that (1) the principal of the applicant is a resident of
Sleepy Hollow and has not been the subject of any Police or Building Department actions, (2) the
principal of the applicant owns or operates two other reputable restaurants, Tomatillo in Dobbs Ferry
and Sweet Grass in Tarrytown, and (3) the space for the location of the new restaurant in the Village
has been vacant for a long time; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village hereby waives the 30 day notice period
as provided under New York State Law; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is authorized to advise the New York State
Liquor Authority in writing In accordance with applicable law that the Village is in favor of the granting
of the said application of Pocos LLC.
