Present: James Nazemetz, Chairman Sean McCarthy Rosaria Pomielli Louis Falasca Barbara Fina Robert Barstow(Arrived late) Also Present: Absent: Janet Gandolfo, Village Attorney Elvira Aloia Chairman Nazemetz called the meeting to order at 8 PM. Approval of Minutes Lou Falasca moved, second by Barbara Fina to approve the minutes of March 27,1996, motion carried 4-0. Chairman Nazemetz commented that there are three old sets of minutes that need to be approved which the Board will do at the end of the meeting. Anthony Nardelli-Fence Mr. Nardelli wants to erect a cedar stockade fence to replace the old fence and wants to move it further back. He presented certified mailings to the Chairman. Mr. Nardelli presented drawings and showed pictures of the fence to the Board. Lou Falasca moved to open the public hearing, second by sEAN McCarthy and carried. There were no comments from the public, therefore Lou Falasca moved to close the hearing, second by Sean McCarthy and carried. Brief discussion ensued on the size and location of the fence. Lou Falasca moved, second by Sean McCarthy to approve a five foot high cedar stockade fence as presented, motion carried 4-0. Philipse Plaza-Continuation This was a continuation from the last meeting. Louis Contadino, Architect, presented additional information to the Board as they had requested on the retaining wall, gutter, signage and garbage dumpster enclosure. Discussion ensued on the need for more details on the elevation designs of the retaining wall and the gutter. Mr. Contadino showed drawing of the retaining wall and chain link fence. Wall would be pebbly concrete finish with warm colors which would blend into the earth, five foot vinyl coated fencing and post along the wall, concrete stairs, railings painted metal. 1 �As for the signage, discussion ensued whereby the Board felt that each individual business would come before the Board with respect to their own signage. Discussion ensued on the size of the directory and where it is to be placed, dumpster and lighting on the building. The dumpster would be 14X12 masonry enclosure dumpster recycling bins. The gate is 4'X 6' and gate is 6 ft. high. and Agfter discussion, the Board asked that they come back with lighting fixture pictures, confer with the attorney regarding signage and the arch. Lou Falasca moved, second by Jim Nazemetz to approve the arch portiion of the building as submitted, motion carried 5-0-1 with Rosario Pomielli abstaining. Lou Falasca moved, second by Rosario Pomielli that with regard to lighting and signage, this be carried over to the next month's meeting for additional lighting alternatives from the architect, carried 6-0. Lou Falasca moved that the gates on the dumpster be arched to reflect the design of the arch on the face of the building, second by Jim Nazemetz and motion carried 6-0. Barbara Fina moved, second by Lou Falasca that materials that are presented will be those that will be used, motion carried 6-0. Mr. Rodrigues will apply for his building permit. Approval of Minutes Lou Falasca moved, second by Sean McCarthy to approve the minutes of September 27, 1995, motion carried 4-0. Lou Falasca moved, second by Sean McCarthy to approve the minutes of July 12, 1995, motion carried 5-0. Sean McCarthy mvoed, second by Lou Falasca to approve the minutes of April 26, 1995, motion carried 5-0. The next meeting will be held on May 22, 1996. Sean McCarthy moved, second meeting,motion carried.
