                  <text>Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Designating Offices for March Election
Whereas, the next General Village Election for Offices will be held on Tuesday,
March 21, 2017; and
Whereas, the Board of Trustees must designate by resolution and publish the offices
which are to be filled in such election and the terms thereof.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved,
Section 1: That the Board of Trustees designates the following offices as vacant at
the end of the current official year, to be filled at the Village Election to be held on
Tuesday, March 21, 2017 for the following terms;
One (1) Mayor - Two (2) Year Term
One (1) Justice - Four (4) Year Term
Three (3) Trustees - Two (2) Year Term Each
Section 2: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish the resolution in full in the
Journal News, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village of Sleepy
Hollow.
Be It Further Resolved,
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately.

�Be It Resolved, that Election Law 4-106(2) requires all villages whose March elections
are conducted by the County Board of Elections; submit to the County Board of
Elections a list of polling places by November 21^ 2016, and

districts In the Village Election to be held on Tuesdav, March 21. 2017! and
Be It Further Resolved that the following polling places be open from 6:00 a.m. to
9:00 p.m. on Election Day:

OF THE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF SLEEPY HOLLOW
ENTITLED "VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC"
CONCERNING INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS ON MUNROE
AVENUE AT THE INTERSECTION WITH HARWOOD AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow that a
public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. or as soon as such hearing may be called thereafter, on
the

day of October 2016, at the Sleepy Hollow Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy

Hollow, New York, 10591, on the proposed Local Law entitled: "A LOCAL LAW AMENDING
CHAPTER 400 OF THE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF SLEEPY HOLLOW ENTITLED
"VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC" CONCERNING INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS ON
MUNROE AVENUE AT THE INTERSECTION WITH HARWOOD AVENUE"; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk shall give due notice of this public hearing in
accordance with the Village Code and the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the
State of New York.

�Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy
Appointing Crossing Guard
WHEREAS, a position for a part time crossing guard is needed; and
WHEREAS, in order to maintain tlie safety of sciiooi ctiildren and pedestrians, tiiis
position should be filled as quickly as possible; and
WHEREAS, Judy Soloman of Sleepy Hollow, has applied for the position of crossing
guard; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended that Ms. Soloman be hired on a part
time basis to fill this position;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Sleepy Hollow hereby approves Judy Soloman to be hired on a part time basis to worl&lt;
as a crossing guard for the Village of Sleepy Hollow at a salary rate of $15.00 per hour,
effective immediately.

Awarding Hayride Production Bid
Whereas, proposals were solicited from qualified companies to produce a haunted
hayride show, which Includes, sets and actors for two nights on October 28"^ and
October 29th 2016, and
Whereas, the request for proposals were properly noticed; and
Whereas, Halloween Animatronlcs of Mount Kisco, NY was the sole bidder at a cost of
$32,500.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Board of Trustees hereby awards a bid to
Halloween Animatronlcs of Mount Kisco, NY to provide a haunted hayride show for two
nights on October 28^ and October 29^ 2016 at a total cost of $32,500.
