                  <text>Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Authorizing Submission of a Transportation Alternatives Program
Application for Cortlandt Street Pedestrian Improvements
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees is desirous of making pedestrian improvements to
Cortlandt Street, including new sidewalks, ramps, curbs, drainage, pedestrian lights, street
trees and crosswalks; and
WHEREAS, the improvements will improve accessibility including for those with physical
impairments; and
WHEREAS, preliminary cost estimates totaling $1,700,000 have been prepared for the
Cortlandt Street Pedestrian Improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Sleepy Hollow does hereby authorize the submission of an application for funds from the
NYS Department of Transportation in accordance with the provisions of the Transportation
Alternatives Program in an amount not to exceed $1,200,000, and upon approval of said
request authorizes the Village Administrator to enter into and execute a grant agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees commits to provide $500,000
towards funding the Cortlandt Street improvements upon award of the grant.

�Resolution of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow Approving the Request
of the Board of Fire Wardens
WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Wardens has requested permission to hold a Boot Drive
between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the intersection of North Broadway and
Plerson Avenue on Saturday, October 22, 2016, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, on
Saturday, October 29, 2016, and on Sunday, October 30, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has been Informed of the request, does not raise a
public safety concern, and does not object to the Boot Drive;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the |V|ayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow approves the request of the Board of Fire Wardens to hold a
Boot Drive between the hours of 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the Intersection of North
Broadway and Plerson Avenue on Saturday, October 22, 2016, on Sunday, October 23,
2016, on Saturday, October 29, 2016, and on Sunday, October 30, 2016.
RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees directs the Village Clerk to notif/ the Board of
Fire Wardens and the Chief of Police In writing of this resolution.
