PRESENT: James Nazemetz, Chairman Sean McCarthy Rosaria Piomelli Robert Barstow Barbara Fina Elvira Aloia Louis Falasca ALSO PRESENT: Janet Gandolfo, Attorn James Margotta, Buildin Chairman Nazemetz called the meeting to ord< 1. Augustin Triana, 128 Cortlandt Street-Lower level rehab. Postponed-Architect Turnquist called out-of-town on an emergency. 2. Rodrigues Enterprises, Chestnut Street-New Multiple Dwelling-Continuation Postponed-Architect Turnquist called out-of-town on an emergency. 3. Nicholas Robinson, 258 Kelbourne Avenue-Wood Deck. John Poux presented affidavit of mailings to Clerk. Mr. Poux presented pictures of residence and outlined the project. Mr. Poux stated that the deck would be visible from both Millard and Kelbourne Avenues. Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia that the meeting be opened for public comments. Carried. There being no public comments Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca that the meeting be closed for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed regarding placement of shubbery and lattice work to be installed on the lower apron. Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca that the plans be accepted as presented, with the addition of painted wooden lattice to be installed in the lower apron. Carried. 4. Mr. & Mrs-.. Joseph Trotti-28 Merlin Avenue-Garage. Mr. Trotti presented affidavits of mailings to Clerk. �-2Mr. Trotti stated that the carport on his property had collapsed last winter and he would like to build a garage in place of the carport. Mr. Trotti outlined the type of garage and construction of same and presented plans for the Board to review. Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca? that the meeting be opened for public comments. Carried. There being no public comments Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy that the meeting be closed for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed regarding type of construction, type of garage door and type of shingles for the roof. Mr. Trotti stated that the garage will be constructed to match the house and the roof would also match the roof of the house. Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to approve the plans as submitted. Carried. Mr. Falasca abstained. 5. Hamilton Designs-Kelbourne Avenue-Revision-New Residence (Continuation). Mr. Barstow excused himself as he is the applicant. Mr. Barstow submitted revised drawings for the Board to review, stating he made changes to the front of the house in order to make the house more balanced. Chairman Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy that the meeting be opened for public comments. Carried. Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms.. Fina to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed regarding placement of garage, garage doors, sideyards and setbacks and type of construction. Mr. Barstow stated he had re-notified the neighbors and no one appears to object to the construction. Chairman Nazemetz stated he had spoken to Mrs. Phoenix who had shown concern at previous meetings and she was in favor of the garage in the front. Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Fina that the plans be accepted as revised and agreed upon and the finish be stucco upon cedar clapboard, 7 inch exposureV/ith appropriate trim quarter board. Ms. Aloia and Ms. Piomelli abstained from voting. Mr. McCarthy, Mr. Falasca, Ms. Fina and Mr. Nazemetz voting "Yes". Mr. Barstow did not vote. Chairman Nazementz declared the motion carried. Mr. Barstow asked the Board if he would have to come back if he decided to change from stucco to cedar clapboard. The Board discussed the request and stated he would not have to reappear. �-3Discussion followed regarding the scheduling of meetings and it was decided to have the November meeting on November 25th, 1996 and no meeting in December due to the Holidays. MINUTES Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca that the minutes of the meeting held on September 25th be accepted as presented with the following amendment: Page 4-Paragraph 8-to read as follows: "to be clarified and that the lower match the upper level." Carried. section of elevation Ms. Aloia, Ms. Fina and Mr. Barstow abstained from voting as they were not present at the September meeting. There being no further business to come before the meeting Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Piomelli that the same be 4uly adjourned Carried.
