Present: Mayor Kenneth G. Wray Deputy Mayor Glenn Rosenbloom John Leavy Rachelle Gebler Sandra Spiro Sam Gonzalez Trustees Denise Scaglione (Absent) Also Present: Anthony Giaccio, Village Administrator Anthony Bueti, Police Chief Mayor Wray called the work session to order at 7:00 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING SHORT TERM PARKING: Mr. Giaccio read the public hearing notice related to installing 15 minute parking meters at two locations on Cortlandt Street. There were no comments. Motion was made by Trustee Leavy, Second by Trustee Gebler to close the public hearing related to 15 minute parking on Cortlandt Street. Motion passed 6-0. PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING PARKING ON ANDREWS LANE: Mr. Giaccio read the public hearing notice related to parking on the west side of Andrews Lane near Bamhart Park. There were no comments. Motion was made by Trustee Gebler, Second by Trustee Spiro to close the public hearing related to parking on the West Side on Andrews Lane. Motion passed 6-0. SPECIAL SESSION On a motion made by Trustee Leavy and seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom and carried unanimously the Board moved into special session. Motion was made by Trustee Gebler, seconded by Trustee Gonzalez to approve the appointment of Matthew Arone to the position of Recreation Superintendent. Motion carried, 6-0 On a motion made by Trustee Gonzalez and seconded by Trustee Leavy and carried unanimously the Board moved out of special session. �PACE UNIVERSITY LAND USE PRESENTATION: John Nolan of the Pace University Land Use Law Center was in attendance to talk about the Village's comprehensive plan and Local Waterfront Revitalization Plan (LWRP). Both plans are outdated and need to be updated. Mr. Nolan explained the difference between both plans and what is needed to satisfy State requirements. The Board had many questions for Mr. Nolan. Discussion ensued. HAUNTED HAYRIDE PRODUCTION CONTRACT: The Board reviewed a draft contract with Animitronics to provide the Haunted Hayride production. The Board was in favor of approving this contract. Mayor Wray asked that this item be on the next Board meeting agenda. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TRAINING SEMINAR: The Board considered a request submitted by the DPW general foreman to attend a training seminar with his Highway Foreman. The Board was in favor of approving this request. Mayor Wray asked that this item be on the next Board meeting agenda. At 8:04 the work session was adjourned.
