Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Approving a Local Law Amending Chapter 400 of the Village Code
Relative to Parking on Andrews Lane
WHEREAS; the Board of Trustees held a duly noticed public hearing relative to the
amendment of Section 400-8 of the Village Code of the Village of Sleepy Hollow to
provide for certain parking on Andrews Lane; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees considered the annexed draft local law in connection
with same.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, the Board of Trustees hereby adopts the annexed local
law.
Be It Further Resolved, that this resolution shall take effect immediately.

A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 400
OF THE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF SLEEPY HOLLOW
ENTITLED "VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC" RELATIVE
TO RESTRICTED PARKING
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow, New York,
as follows:
Section 1.

Section 400-8 of the Code of the Village Sleepy Hollow entitled "Parking

prohibited in designated locations" is hereby amended to delete the following location
thereunder:

Street
Andrews Lane

Side
West

Section 2.

Section Prohibited
From a point 100 feet north of the intersection of
Andrews Lane and Francis Street torn Elm Street

The invalidity of any word, section, clause, paragraph sentence, part, or

provision of this local law shall not affect the validity of any part of this local law which can be
given effect without such invalid part or parts.
Section 3.
the Secretary of State.

This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing in the Office of

Designating Offices for Inarch Election
Whereas, the next Village Election for Offices will be held on Tuesday, March 20,
2018; and
Whereas, the Board of Trustees must designate by resolution and publish the offices
which are to be filled in such election and the terms thereof.
Now, Therefore, Be I t Resolved,
Section 1: That the Board of Trustees designates the following offices as vacant at
the end of the current official year, to be filled at the Village Election to be held on
Tuesday, March 20, 2018 for the following terms;
Three (3) Trustees - Two (2) Year Term Each
Section 2: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish the resolution in full in the
Journal News, a newspaper of general circulation within the Village of Sleepy
Hollow.

to 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 31^ 2017 for pedestrian safety.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Board of Trustees directs the Chief of Police to
coordinate all public safety issues.

Authorizing Engagement of Appraiser for Tax Certiorari Matters
WHEREAS, Village Counsel has requested that the Board of Trustees engage the services
of Valuation Plus, Inc. to provide appraisal services in connection with pending tax
certiorari proceedings relative to properties located at 245 North Broadway and 358
North Broadway; and
WHEREAS, the terms of such engagement are set forth in the October 24,2017, letter
proposal of Valuation Plus, Inc.;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Village of Sleepy Hollow hereby engages the
services of Valuation Plus, Inc. as provided in its proposal letter of October 24, 2017.
