PRESENT: James Nazemetz, Chairman Rosaria Piomelli Elvira Aloia Sean McCarthy Robert Barstow ALSO PRESENT: ABSENT: 1. Janet Gandolfo, Attorney James Margotta, Building Inspector Louis Falasca Barbara Fina ANTHONY & EMELIE SCIARPELLETTI, 101 Rice Avenue-1 Story Addition. Mr. McCarthy excused himself from participating in voting as he is the Architect for the project. Mr. McCarthy presented proof of mailing to the Attorney. Mr. McCarthy presented photographs and plans for the proposed addition and outlined the project. Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to open the meeting for public comments. Carried. There being no public comments, Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. After discussion regarding type of windows, type of roofing, color of shutters and type of siding, Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to approve the application as submitted. Carried. 2. E.E.T. International 72 Beekman Ave. -Sign-(Continued.) Applicant did not appear and the matter was postponed until the next meeting. MINUTES Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia that the approval of the minutes of the meeting held on January 22nd, 1997 be tabled. Carried. 135 Cortlandt Street Fence Mr. Nazemetz stated that a letter had been received from the Administrator regarding the replacement of the fence damaged while Cortlandt Street sidewalk was being replaced. �-2- Mr. Barstow stated he would like to look at the fence before commenting on the height. Ms. Aloia stated did did not approve of the height. Mr. Margotta stated that a letter was sent to Mr. Jimenez regarding the fence and the parking of cars. Mr. McCarthy felt that the new fence did not conform to the Code but felt that it had improved the area. There being no further discussion Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to table the matter until the next meeting. Carried. Discussion followed regarding new signs to be installed at the former Tappan Motors property at the intersection of New Broadway and Route 9 (Broadway). Mr. Nazemetz stated that the next meeting of the Board would be held on March 26th, 1997. There being no further business to come before the Board, Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Mr. Barstow that the same be duly adjourned. Carried.
