Now, therefore, be it resolved, effective June 1, 2017 the annual salary of the following employees shall be increased by 2%: Anthony Giaccio, Paula McCarthy, Sean McCarthy, Joan Bucci, Anthony Bueti, Sara DiGiacomo, Richard Gross, Carol Rebsch and Cindi Valentine. Employee Whereas, Monica Plloco by the attached letter dated November 1, 2017 and effective December 1, 2017 submitted her resignation letter from the Sleepy Hollow Building Department, and Whereas, said resignation letter must be formally accepted by the Village of Sleepy Hollow Board of Trustees, and Whereas, the Village, by resolution number 07/138/03 dated July 15, 2003, adopted a policy for employee termination and rehire, and Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved, that the Village accepts the resignation of Monica Piloco by the attached letter dated November 1, 2017 and effective December 1, 2017 and finds that the termination/rehire policy of July 15, 2003 applies, and Be it Further Resolved, that a copy of the policy is forwarded to and a copy be placed in her personnel record with proof of service. Moved: Trustee Scagllone Seconded: Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom Absent: Trustees Leavy and Gebler Vote: 5-0 �Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow Hiring Hearing Officer for a 207-C Hearing WHEREAS, the General Municipal Law (GML) provides that a police officer receiving benefits under Section 207-c GML who disputes the findings of an Independent Medical Examination that they are physically capable of returning to duty in some capacity, may not have their benefits terminated without first being afforded a due process hearing; and WHEREAS, a situation exists within the Village of Sleepy Hollow Police Department where an officer that has been receiving 207-c benefits has been found physically capable of returning to duty In a sedentary capacity by a physician after conducting an Independent Medical Examination; and WHEREAS, the officer was advised of this finding and ordered to return to work in a light duty position; and WHEREAS, the officer disputed the findings of the Independent Medical Examination and demanded a hearing as provided under Section 207-c; and WHEREAS, Barry Peek has significant experience in serving as a hearing officer for these types of matters and has been recommended by labor counsel for appointment as the hearing officer in the matter; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow hereby retains Barry Peek to serve as hearing officer in the 207-c matter pending In the Sleepy Hollow Police Department at a fee of $2,000 per day. Move: Trustee Spiro Seconded: Trustee Scagllone Absent: Trustees Leavy & Gebler Vote: 5-0 �Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow Authorizing Bid of the RiverWalk Riverside Drive Project WHEREAS, for purposes of Installing a RiverWalk segment along Riverside Drive, the Village of Sleepy Hollow was awarded $300,000 grant by the New NY Bridge and New York State Thruway under the Community Benefits Program, and $50,000 being administered by the New York State Dormitory Authority State under the State and Municipal Facilities Capital Program; and WHEREAS, James J. Hahn Engineering PC has completed the bid packet; and WHEREAS, the required local match for the project Is $25,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Paula McCarthy, Village Clerk, is authorized to notice the bid for the RiverWalk Riverside Drive construction.
