                  <text>The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow held a meeting on Tuesday,
January 2, 2018 Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

Mayor Kenneth G. Wray
Deputy Mayor Glenn Rosenbloom
John Leavy
Denise Scaglione
Sandra Spiro, Trustees

Also Present: Anthony P. Giaccio, Village Administrator
Paula A. McCarthy Tompkins, Village Clerk
Clinton Smith, Village Counsel
Sean E. McCarthy, Village Building Inspector
Anthony Bueti, Village Police Chief
Absent: Trustee Gonzalez &amp; Trustee Gebler
At 7:06 p.m. Mayor Wray called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag and a moment
of silence for Jose Grullon, of Beekman Ave, 63 years old, Nirda Jimenez Cruz, 63 years old,
Richard MaCabe, longtime resident and former Village employee, Andrew Rice longtime
resident of Sleepy Hollow and Jeanne Gallinger, 72 years old of Mohegan Lake and former
Sleepy Hollow resident, beloved sister of Richie and Fred Gross. Our thoughts are with their
families and friends.
Approval of Warrants:
On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, the warrant was
approved and the Treasurer was authorized to pay bills in the amount of $1,781,573.68.
Mayor Wray stayed that $1,400.00 is for the retirement system and approximately $200,000.
is for health Insurance coverage.
Approval of Minutes On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, the Minutes of
October 24, 2017 were approved. Motion carried.
On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, the Minutes of
November 14, 2017 were approved. Trustee Leavy abstained. Motion carried.
On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Trustee, the Minutes of November 28, 2017
were approved. Trustee Spiro abstained. Motion carried.
On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, the Minutes of
December 5, 2017 were approved. Motion carried.

�On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, the Minutes of
December 19, 2017 were approved. Trustee Spiro abstained. Motion carried.
Mayor announcements:
Mayor Wray and Trustee Leavy reported there is a fundraiser at the Tarrytown Music Hali for
the High School Performing Arts Boosters, this upcoming Saturday and everyone's support is
appreciated.
Mayor Wray stated that a memo from Building Inspector, Sean McCarthy regarding home and
fire safety tips &amp; requirements has been distributed and it will be posted on our website for
reference to the residents. Mayor Wray stated these are important reminders.
Mayor Wray stated that Wayne Ballard will be appointed to the position of Public Works
Superintendent this evening, which is a critical position for the development of the East
Parcel and the Comprehensive Plan moving forward.
Department Head Reports:
Police Department:
Police Chief Bueti reported on several events. (See report)
Trustee Leavy expressed concern regarding traffic at the intersection of Rt 9 and Pierson
Avenue. Discussion ensued.
Public Comments:
Mayor Wray opened the meeting to the public and invoked the 3 minute rule.
There were no comments at this time.

R1 - Approve Increase to Income Levels for SCRIE and DRIB program
R2 - Approve De-Mapping Fairview Avenue
R3 - Approve Northeast Recreation Agreement
R4 - Appoint Superintendent of Public Works
R5 - Appoint Assistant Building Inspector
R6 - Approve Actions of the SHVAC
Mayor Wray asked for a motion to appoint Melanie Dupuis to the Environmental Advisory
Committee.
On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Trustee Leavy, Ms. Dupuis was appointed.
Motion carried.

�Communication:
The Village Clerk announced email correspondence that was received regarding the John D.
l^cKean Fire Boat (see attached)
Two liquor license applications were received for 180 Valley St. and 222 Beekman Avenue.
Public Comments:
Mayor Wray opened the meeting to the public and invoked the 3 minute rule.
There were no comments at this time.
At 7:40 pm, on a motion by Trustee Leavy, seconded by Deputy l^layor Rosenbloom, the
meeting was adjourned.
