Present: Mayor Kenneth G. Wray Sam Gonzalez Sandra Spiro Rachelle Gebler Denlse Scagllone John Leavy, Trustee Absent: Deputy Mayor Glenn Rosenbloom Also Present: Anthony P. Glaccio, Village Administrator Paula McCarthy, Village Clerk Clinton Smith, Village Counsel Sean McCarthy, Building Inspector Wayne Ballard, Superintendent DPW At 7:00 p.m. Mayor Wray called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag. Approval of Warrants: On a motion by Trustee Scaglione and seconded by Trustee Leavy the warrant was approved and the Treasurer was authorized to pay bills in the amount $639,033.82. Mayor announcements:. Mayor Wray noted that there will no work session next week, Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Administrator's Report: (See attached report) Trustee Spiro, Wayne Ballard, and Sean McCarthy did a walkthrough on Beekman Avenue In line with the upcoming grant for the beautification and design of the Avenue. The grants are for new sidewalks and street lights along Beekman Avenue. Trustee Spiro stated that now is the time to consider all aspects of the project Including tree type and placement. Mr. Ballard distributed a list of items of concern and observations. Discussion ensued. Public Comments: Mayor Wray opened the meeting to the public and Invoked the 3 minute rule. Rich Goldfarb of 551 Riverside Drive addressed the Mayor and the Board of Trustees and stated concerns about the lighting on the new walkway on Riverside Drive. He thanked Trustee Leavy for his collaborative and conversational help he has given with finding solutions. He requested lower lighting, lower wattage bulbs, less fixtures that are directed downward and asked to have the fixtures painted green. �There were no further comments at this time. Mayor Wray noted that there is a second public comment opportunity in the meeting. Resolutions: See attachments. Mayor Wray stated that he received a letter from a resident from 122 Depeyster Street that was distributed to Wayne Ballard and Anthony Giaccio. New Business: Mayor Wray reported that the Public Space Council met last week with Edge on Hudson to kick-off the process in designing the public spaces at Edge on Hudson and the Village as a whole. Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom reminded residents of the rescheduled Annual Softball Fundraiser with JP Doyles for the Make-A-Wish Foundation on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Devries Park at 7 p.m. Public Comments: Ray Endreny of Millard Avenue, addressed the Mayor and the Board of Trustees, he represents the PMIA and thanked the Board for all their hard work on the paddle courts, stairway at the train station, lighting on Riverside Drive. He did request that garbage receptacles be considered for the Riverside Drive walkway and consider additional stop signs. He also stated that there's a need for sidewalks repair. Mike Savitsky, 11 River Street, addressed the Mayor and the Board of Trustees and stated that the parking situation at the Farm & the Fish restaurant hs improved. He stated that the sidewalk permits for outdoor dining ends on September He thanked the Board for their help. There were no further comments at this time.
