                  <text>The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow held a meeting on Tuesday,
August 28, 2018 Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.

At 7:00 p.m. Mayor Wray called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag and a
moment of silence for the passing of Sabastlao DaSilva age 87 and Joel Gomez age 25
of Sleepy Hollow. Mayor Wray also acknowledged the passing of Senator John McCain.
Warrant; Motion was made by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, seconded by Trustee
Scaglione to approve warrant 18Aug28 In the amount of $668,973.10. Motion passed
4-0.
Motion was made by Trustee Gebler seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom
to approve the minutes of the July 17, 2018 Village Board Work Session. Motion passed
4-0.
Approval of the Minutes of the July 31, 2018 Board Meeting and the August 14, 2018
Board Meeting were tabled.
Mayors Announcements: Mayor Wray reminded residents that school will be starting
soon and that they should drive safe. Village offices will be closed on Labor Day.
Administrator's Report; Mr. Giaccio gave a report. Mr. Giaccio updated the Board
on the capital budget process. He said that the traffic engineer working on the Edge on
Hudson project will be at the next work session. Mr. Giaccio also updated the Board on
various projects in the Village including the Con Edison gas line replacement project.

replacement project.
R e c r e a t i o n R e p o r t : Recreation Superintendent, Matt Arone gave a monthly report for
the Recreation Department (Attached). The Board had several questions for Mr. Arone.
There was a discussion about a proposed new playground at Douglas Park. Mayor
Wray asked Mr. Arone to reach out to the local neighborhood for input Mayor Wray
asked that this matter be placed on a future work session agenda.
Building Department Report: Village Architect, Sean McCarthy gave a monthly
report for the Building Department (Attached). Mr. McCarthy provided permit and code
enforcement information. The Board had several questions for Mr. McCarthy.
Discussion ensued.
Fire D e p a r t m e n t R e p o r t : Fire Department Chief, Mike Tavano gave a monthly report
for the Fire Department. Chief Tavano provided statistics on calls for the month. Chief
Tavano thanked the Board for attending the Fire Department's annual inspection event.
P u b l i c C o m m e n t s : Margarita Jimenez of Sleepy Hollow spoke. Ms. Jimenez asked
the Village Board to support the Rock of Salvation Church's effort to construct a parking
lot on Cortlandt Street.
