                  <text>RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF SLEEPY HOLLOW
HIRING SEASONAL STAFF FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Public Works has conducted several interviews for
two seasonal positions and deems these applicants qualified, and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Public Works, has recommended that these
candidates be hired on a seasonal basis, not to exceed sixteen weeks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Sleepy Hollow hereby approve Mr. Ballard's recommendations of Geraldo Moquete of
Sleepy Hollow, and Nicholas Cipriano of Dobbsferry, to be hired effective Tuesday,
September 4 , 2018 at an hourly rate of $15.00, not to exceed sixteen weeks, and be
under the direct supervision of the General Foreman, Richard Gross.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED background checks for these applicants have been
completed and are satisfactory.

�Resolution of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow Approving Request for Block Party
Whereas, the Mayor and Board of Trustees received a request from Hal &amp; Ina
Muchnick of Farrington Ave, to hold a block party on Saturday, September 29, 2018,
and
Whereas, the Block party, would take place on Farrington Ave, between Bellwood
Avenue and Munroe Avenue, from 4: pm to 11: pm
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the Board of Trustees approves the request
made by Hal &amp; Ina Muchnick, to hold a block party on Saturday, September 29, from
4:00pm to 11:00pm, with a rain date of October 13"^.
Be It Further Resolved the Board of Trustees directs the Chief of Police to coordinate
the public safety issues with the applicant, if necessary.

WHEREAS, the l^^ayor and Board of Trustees received a request from Jason Choi of
Highland Avenue to hold a block party on Saturday, September 15^, 2018, and
WHEREAS, the Block party, would take place on upper Highland Avenue between Rt 9
and Bellwood Avenue, from 4:pm to 10:pm, and
WHEREAS, a DJ will be playing during this event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees approves the
request made by Jason Choi, to hold a block party with a DJ, on Saturday, September
15^, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm, and
Be It Further Resolved the Board of Trustees directs the Chief of Police to coordinate
the public safety issues with the applicant, if necessary.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Approving a Request for the Immaculate Conception Church Bazaar
Be It Resolved that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
approve a request made by the Immaculate Conception Church (St. John Paul II
Maronite Catholic Church) to have their annual Bazaar on September 14*^, 15^ and
16^ from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and September 21^, 22"^, and 23''^ from 5:00pm to
10:pm; and
Be It Resolved that the Mayor and the Board of Trustees approve the closing of
Depeyster Street between Broadway and Washington Street from 4:00pm to ll:pm,
during this festive celebration, and
Be It Further Resolved the Mayor and Board of Trustees directs the Chief of Police to
coordinate the public safety issues with the applicants for these festivities.
