                  <text>The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow held a meeting on Tuesday, July 30,
2019 at Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

Mayor Kenneth G. Wray
Deputy Mayor Glenn Rosenbloom
Rachelle Gebler
Sam Gonzalez
Sandra Spiro
Denise Scaglione, Trustees

Absent:

John Leavy, Trustee

Also Present: Joan Buccl, Deputy Village Clerk

At 7:03 p.m. Mayor Wray called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag.
Approval of Warrants:
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, seconded by Trustee Gebler the warrant was
approved and the Treasurer was authorized to pay bills in the amount of $757,126.33.
Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes:
On a motion by Trustee Gonzalez, seconded by Trustee Gebler the minutes of the
June 4, 2019 meeting were approved. Motion carried.
On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Trustee Gebler the minutes of the
June 11, 2019 meeting were approved. Motion carried.
On a motion by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom the minutes of
the June 18, 2019 meeting were approved. Motion carried. Trustee Gonzalez abstained.
On a motion by Trustee Gebler, seconded by Trustee Scaglione the minutes of the June 25,
2019 meetings were approved. Motion carried. Trustee Gonzalez abstained.
On a motion by Trustee Gonzalez, seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom the minutes of
the July 9, 2019 meeting were approved. Motion carried.
On a motion by Trustee Gonzalez, seconded by Trustee Scaglione the minutes of the
July 23, 2019 meeting were approved. Motion carried.

�Mayor's Announcement
Mayor Wray reminded residents this Friday is the last Food Truck Fridays at the Sleepy
Hollow Lighthouse.
Mayor Wray and the Board wished Paula McCarthy Tompkins a very happy birthday.
Department Head Reports:
Sean McCarthy reported for Village Administrator Anthony Giaccio, that the Kayak/Canoe rack
is complete and available for rentals at Horan's Landing. Call for more info, 366-5019.
Four grant applications have been submitted:
1) Irving Bicentennial
2) DPW Garage
3) Climate Smart Community
4) Ichabod's Bulkhead
Building Department - Building Inspector Sean McCarthy reported, (see attached report)
Fire Department - Chief Tavano reported that the fire department responded to numerous
calls including several mutual aids since May of 2019.
Four firefighters completed Firefighter-1 Class. All passed. Congratulations to all.
Chief Tavano thanked the Mayor and Board for attending the inspection event.
Mayor Wray thanked the Chief and all volunteers for all they do for the Village.
Public Comments:
There were no comments at this time.
At 7:22 pm, Trustee Gebler moved to go into Executive Session to discuss a personnel
matter. Seconded by Trustee Scaglione. Motion carried.
At 7:31 pm, a motion was made by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Trustee Gebler to go out
of Executive Session. Motion carried.

R1 - Approve Village Engineer Agreement
R2 - Approve Prisoner Transport Agreement
R3 - Approve Engineer for Culvert Project
R4 - Approve NYS Retirement Reporting for Judges
R5 - Approve Actions of the Ambulance Corps

�Old Business:
Mayor Wray reminded residents that the Comprehensive Plan and LWRP is still open for the
acceptance of written comments until September 3, 2019. Comments can be emailed to the
Village Clerk or Board members or mailed to the Village Clerk at 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy
Hollow, NY 10591.
