                  <text>The Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow held a meeting on Tuesday,
February 11, 2020 at Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

Mayor Kenneth G. Wray
Deputy Mayor Glenn Rosenbloom
Trustee Sam Gonzalez
Trustee Sandra Spiro
Trustee Rachelle Gebler

Absent:

Trustee Denise Scaglione
Trustee John Leavy

Also Present: Anthony P. Giaccio, Village Administrator
Joan Bucci, Village Deputy Clerk
Sara DiGiacomo, Village Treasurer
Clinton Smith, Village Counsel
At 7:02 p.m. Mayor Wray called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag and a
moment of silence for Jose Martins, 87 years old, was a longtime resident.
Our thoughts are with their family and friends.
Approvat of Warrants:
On a motion by Trustee Gebler, seconded Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, the warrant was
approved and the Treasurer was authorized to pay bills in the amount of $423,724.67.
Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes:
On a motion by Trustee Gebler, seconded by Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom, the minutes of
February 4, 2020 were approved. Motion carried. Trustee Spiro abstained.
Mayor's Announcement:
Mayor Wray announced:
- Monday, February 17, 2020 is President's Day. Village Offices and Public
Works will be closed. Bulk pick up and all garbage routes will be picked up
on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
- Tuesday, February 18, 2020 is the meeting of the Board of Assessment
Review. Residents can drop of their taxes grievances prior to at the Clerk's
office or come in person between the hours of 4 pm - 8 pm.
- Congratulations to our DPW employee Clarence Sharrock and his wife, who
recently welcomed a baby girl, Lucy Mae.

�Department Head Reports:
Police Chief Bueti reported:
- To date this year answered 2,071 calls for service with 27 arrests and issued
486 summons.
- Met with Phelps Memorial Hospital about setting up active shooter drills. First
step will be a walk through with our first responders to learn about any
sensitive areas.
- Attended the school safety seminar at the high school. There was a good
question and answer segment that addressed the process and what was
learned from recent events.
- Secured Police Enforcement Assistance for upcoming events such as the
Sleepy Hollow marathon and the Saint Patrick's Day parade.
- Thursday, February 20th is the Annual Sports Days with the PBA from 1012:30 for Grades K-5 at the high school. There is still time to sign up.
Sponsored by Kendall on Hudson.
- Friday, February 20th PBA will be hosting a Coffee at Kendall with the
residents.
- Working on another Community Event this June at the Senior Center with a
more extensive question and answer period with the officers.
Public Comments:
Mayor Wray opened the meeting to the public and invoked the 3-minute rule.
Osha Casper Hernandez along with the Inzar and Smith families, addressed the Mayor
and the Board of Trustees on behalf of Gerald Inzar Jr., the owner of a local
barbershop, who recently passed away, and asked if the corner of Cortland Street at
the island could be named after him to honor all he has meant to the community.

�Administrators Report
Administrator Giaccio reported:
The sidewalk project is out to bid.
The waterline project between the East Parcel and West Parcel preconstruction meeting
scheduled for this Thursday, February 13th.
Trustee Spiro inquired about reports of gas odor in numerous areas. Administrator
Giaccio stated that this is a common condition that may happen when replacing old
pipes, and safety measures are in place.
At 7:27 p.m., Trustee Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom moved to go into Executive Session to
discuss a personnel matter. Seconded by Trustee Gonzalez. Motion carried.
At 8:04 p.m. Trustee Gebler moved to go out of Executive Session. Seconded by
Deputy Mayor Rosenbloom. Motion carried.
At 8:05 pm, on motion by Trustee Spiro, seconded by Trustee Gonzalez the meeting
was adjourned.
