Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Authorizing the 2019 to 2024 Snow and Ice Agreement
WHEREAS, the Village of Sleepy Hollow has provided Snow and Ice control services or
a continuous basis since 1997 for 9.1 lane miles of roadway located in thp V i l l a g e *
Sleepy Hollow and owned by the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, the Village Administrator is hereby authorized to execute the 2019 to 2024
indexed sum of the Snow and Ice Agreement with the New York ^tate t-n*ai
reimbursement to the Village estimated to be $118,559.30.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Board herein a u t h o r the
Village Administrator to execute the attached 2019 to 2024 Snow and V e Agreement
and to take other such steps as are necessary to effectuate the intent of this resolution.

regulations to assist Village businesses as the Village exits the COVID-19 pandemic; and

WHEREAS, Margie Ruddick Landscape comes highly recommended and the Village Board has
determined her proposal to be acceptable, and
WHEREAS, The Village Board intends on using funds from the Recreation Reserve fund to
finance this project, and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 19B-5 of the Village Code, the purpose of the Recreation
Reserve Fund shall be for the improvement of parks and other passive recreation facilities
throughout the Village of Sleepy Hollow,
NOW BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees hereby approves the attached proposal
between the Village of Sleepy Hollow and Margie Ruddick Landscape for Design for the
PocanticoRiver/DeVries Park Improvement Project in the amount of $140,000 subject to the
approval by the Village Attorney; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the Village
Treasurer to utilize the Recreation Reserve Fund for this project.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Hiring Seasonal Parks Staff for the Police Department
WHEREAS, in order to maintain safety of visitors and to staff the Kingsland Point Park's Booth,
Kingsland Point Park, Barnhardt Park and Sykes Park, it is necessary to fill several seasonal
parks positions as quickly as possible; and
WHEREAS, Police Chief Bueti has conducted several interviews for these seasonal positions
and deems these applicants qualified, and
WHEREAS, Police Chief Bueti has recommended that these candidates be hired on a seasonal
basis, not to exceed four months.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy
Hollow hereby approve the Chief's recommendations of: (see list of names and hourly rates
below) to be hired effective June 11, 2020 not to exceed four months, under the direct
supervision of the Police Chief, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED background checks for all applicants have been completed and
are satisfactory.
