Mayor Kenneth G; Wray (By Video) Deputy Mayor Benise Seaglione (By Video) Sarh (3onzaIez(By Video) lachelle Gebler (By Video) Tom Andrass (By Video) Jared Rodriguez (By Video) Trustees Sandra Spiro (Absent) Also Present: Anthony Giaccio, Village Administrator (By Video) Anthony Bueti, Police Chief (By Video) Sara DiGiacomo, Village Treasurer (By Video) Paula McCarthy, Village Clerk (By Video) Diana Loja, Community Liaison (By Video) Mayor Wray called the work session to order at 7:00 p.m. and read the following statement: "Tonight's work session is being convened in accordance with the Governor's Executive OrdeNumber 202.1, dated March 13, 2020. which suspends certain provisions of the New York State Open Meetings Law to allow a municipal board lo convene a meeting via videoconferencing In accordance with the Executive Order, the public has been provided with the ability to view tonight's work session and public hearing, and a transcript will be provided at a later date I have also confirmed with our Village clerk that this meeting has been duly noticed by posting a notice on the Village's bulletin boards, posting a copy on the Village's website, and listing it on the Village's Facebookpage " Roll call was taken and the following Village Board members responded ^ r e s e n t ^ Deputy Mayor Denise Seaglione Tom Andrass Jared Rodriguez Sam Gonzalez Rachel le Gebler BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING: Mayor Wray opened the public hearing on the 2021/2022 operating budget. �Daniel Convissor spoke and said he will submit written comments for the Board to review, W ® and also said that she will be s u b b i n g written comments to the Board, # o k e and requested that the Fohee Department's budget be reduced by 1% Bhayya Reddy spoke and requested that the Police Department's budget be reduced by 1% She also said that the Board should improve access to the Hispanic Community. b> T ' f t e : A ; d r U S f S e c ( ) n d e d b3 on the 2021/2022 operating budget. Motion passed 6-0. Scaglione to close the public hearing ZONING PRESENTATION: Susan Favate and Simon Kates of BFJ Planning updated the Board on the zoning amendments project and made a power point presentation. A summary of the various recommendations were given along with a timeline. Discussion ensued. BUDGETPRESENTATION: Community Liaison. Diana Loja gave a report on her proposed budget. Ms. Loja is asking for additional funding for community outreach programs. Discussion ensued. Police Chief. Anthony Bueti gave a report on his department's proposed budget Chief Bueti went line by line of the Police Department's budget. Discussion ensued. Village Clerk, Paula McCarthy gave a report on her proposed budget. Ms. McCarthv requested a part-time employee to assist in the Clerk's office. CUB SCOUTS FUNDRA1SING REQUEST: The Board reviewed a request made by the cub scouts to hold a food truck fundraising event. The proposed event is scheduled for May 20 from 5:00-10:00pm and will be held at the Village Hall parking lot. The Boa«i diseussed possible alternative locations, but were in favor of approving this request. ARBOR DAY REQUEST: The Board reviewed a request from the Phil ipse Manor Garden Club to plant a tree on Riverside Drive to celebrate Arbor Day. The Boarf denied this request because of the proposed location and suggested that a different location be chosen. At 8:40 the work session was adjourned. Respectfully submitted.
