Mayor Wray called the work session to order at 7:00 p.m. and read the following statement:
"Tonight's work session is being convened in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order
Number 202.1, dated March 13, 2020, which suspends certainprovisions of the New ¥orkStm
Open Meetings Law to allow a municipal board to convene a meeting via videoconfmrnm* M
accordance with the Executive Order, the public has been provided with the ability teview
tonight's work session and public hearing, and a transcript will be provided at a later date I
have also confirmed with our Village clerk that this meeting has been duly noticed by posting a
notice on the Village's bulletin boards, posting a copy on the Village's website, rnidUstingit on
the Village's Facebook page "

CL1MAT1-SMART RHPORT: Sarah Smiley addressed the Board. Ms. Smiley is the Climate
Smart coordinator for the Village. Ms. Smiley updated the Board on the work that the Climate
Smart Committee has been doing. A request was made to join the "International Council for
Local linvironmenlal Initiatives (1CLE1). The Board was
requested I hat this item be on the nexl. Board meeting agenda.

m u m r m m m m u M m s were given along with a timeKne. Ms. Favate and Mr, Kates asked the
BoaMipermisstoii to proceed withthe SEQRA process. Discussion ensued.

M a t e addressed the Board as a follow up to a recent real estate study they completed One
recommendation they made as part of the study was to sub-divide the ambulance corps property
to separate it tern Barnhart Park. m i s would enable the property to be sold in the future A
proposal fe this was p r o ^ d to the Board. The Board was in favor of approving this proposal.
PLACE-MAKING PROPOSAL: Kersten Harries made a presentation on a proposal to oaint
intersections as part of a place-making initiative. Ms. Harries gave an overview of the Drojec*
and a budget. The proposal is designed to build on the momentum from the Wi^in* W * ^
project by involving the entire community. The Board had several questions and asked for some
lollow up information. Discussion ensued.
SURPLUS VEHICLES: Mr. Giaccio provided the Board with a list of surplus vehicles and
equipment that the Village has no further use for. Mr. Giaccio is recommending that these
vehicles be put up for auction. The Board had no objection to this.
ROCK DA BLOCK REQUEST: The Board reviewed a request from the Rock of Salvation
Church to hold their annual Rock Da Block event at Sykes Park on August 27, 2021. The Board
was m favor of approving this request. Mayor Wray requested that this item be on the next
Board meeting agenda.
LABOR ATTORNEY RETAINER: The Board reviewed a proposal from Lamb ® d Bamosky to
provide legal services for the Village. Mayor Wray requested that this item be on the next Board
meeting agenda.
PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE INSPECTION PROPOSAL: The Board reviewed a proposal from
Simpson, Gumpertz &amp; Heger to inspect the pedestrian bridge that connects Devries Park and
Kingsland Point Park. The cost of this proposal is $9,000. The Board was rnfevor of approving
this proposal. Mayor Wrav requested that this item be on the next Board meeting agenda.
At 9:10 the work session was adjourned.
