PRESENT: James Naezmetz, Chairman Sean McCarthy Elvira Aloia Louis Falasca ABSENT: Barbara Fina Robert Barstow ALSO PRESENT: ^ ^ ^ ^ K James Margotta, Building INspector Edward Lammers, Attorney Chairman Nazemetz called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. 1. GARY McCLEAN, 63 Sleepy Hollow Road-Fence-Continuation. Mr. McClean presented application for approval of fence to be constructed on top of wall at the rear of his property. Mr. McClean stated that the wall would be completed by Saturday and he was anxious to have approval of the fence for safety reasons. Mr. McClean outlined the fence to be approved and stated Mr. DeFalco, his neighbor was to be present for approval of his fence on the cannon wall at the rear of both properties. He stated his fence would be a five foot high stockade fence and Mr. DeFalco was requesting approval of a five foot high chain link fence. Mr. McClean stated he also was asking for approval of a fence around a "hot tub" that was installed on his deck, which would be six foot in height and would be made of red wood. He also stated that the fence would enclose one-third of his deck and would be for privacy. comments. Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Alois to open the meeting for public Carried. There being no public comments Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed regarding the size of the hot tub, the height of fencing, and whether the height of the fence around the hot tub mefe'_ Zoning requirements. Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to approve the application for erection of a five foot high stockade fence to be on top of wall at the rear of Mr. McClean's property. Carried. Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to approve the five foot high stockade fence around the hot tub, said fencing to conform to all Zoning and Building requirements as determined by the Building INspector. Motion carried with Ms. Aloia abstaining from voting. Mr. Nazt:metz moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to table the other matters on the Agenda until the next meeting in June. Carried. (Barrier Oil, Dugan). �-2Volpacchio- Beekman Avenue Discussion was held regarding the refusal of Mr. Volpacchio to appear before the Board for approval of renovations to the front of his building on Beekman Avenue, and Attorney Lammers was instructed to write a letter to Mr. Volpacchio directing him to appear before the Board. DONATO DE FALOO, 69 Sleepy Hollow Road-Fence-Continuation. Mr. DeFalco stated he was requesting permission to erect a fence on top of the wall previously approved by the Board. He stated that the fence would be a five foot chain link fence and he would plant shJBObbcary and landscape the area upon completion of the building of the house. Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to open the meeting for public comments. Carried. There being no public comments, Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to close the meeting for public connients. Carried. Discussion followed regarding the type of fence and height of fence to be installed. Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca to approve the application as submitted. Carried. MINUTES Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia that the minutes of the meeting held on April 28th, 1999 be approved as submitted. Carried. Discussion followed regarding dead trees on Route 9, boat in front yard at Bellwood & Hunter Avenues, and various locations where the grass has not been cut, signs in store windows and the number of laundrymats in the Village. Mr. Nazemetz stated that the next meeting would be held on June 23rd, 1999. There being no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca that the same be duly adjourned. Carried.
