' Present: Mayor Kenneth G. Wray Deputy Mayor Denise Scaglione Sam Gonzalez Rachelle Gebler Sandra Spiro Tom Andruss Jared Rodriguez Also Present: Trustees Anthony Giaccio, Village Administrator Anthony Bueti, Police Chief Sean McCarthy, Village Architect Mayor Wray called the work session to order at 7:00 p.m. FIREWORKS CONTRACT: The Board reviewed a draft agreement with Legion Fireworks tc provide fireworks for the fourth of July. The Board was in favor of approving this agreement. Mayor Wray requested that this item be on the next Board meeting agenda. BLOCK PARTY REQUEST: The Board reviewed a request from Tom Chang to hold a block party on June 19, 2021 on Kelbourne Avenue from 5:00-10:00pm. The Board was amenable to this request. Mayor Wray asked for this item to be on the next Board meeting agenda. PRISONER TRANSPORT INTER-MUNICPAL AGREEMENT: The Board reviewed a draft prisoner transport inter-municipal agreement between the Village and Westchester County. This is a renewal agreement. Police Chief Bueti has recommended that this agreement be renewed. The Board had no objection to renewing this agreement. Mayor Wray requested that this item be on the next Board meeting agenda. TUITION REIMBURSEMENT: Police Chief Bueti submitted a request to be reimbursed for tuition expenses he incurred this past semester at the University of New Haven. Chief Bueti is pursuing a master's degree in criminal justice. The Police Department has funds available for this purpose, but the Village Board needs to approve it first. The Board was in favor of approving this request and supports on-going education for all employees. Mayor Wray requested that this item be on the next Board meeting agenda. �AUTHORIZE WATER TANK PROJECT: Mr. Giaccio requested permission to solicit bids tor the water tank repair project. Dolph Rotfeld Engineering has completed the bid documents and there are funds available for this project in the capital budget. Mayor Wray requested that this item be on the next Board meeting agenda. APPROVE SEASONAL EMPLOYEES: Police Chief Bueti provided the Board with a list of seasonal employees he would like to hire as park attendants. The Board had no objection to this request. Mayor Wray asked for this item to be on the next Board meeting agenda. SPECIAL SESSION Motion was made by Trustee Andruss, seconded by Trustee Rodriguez to go into special session. Motion passed 7-0 Motion was made by Trustees Spiro, seconded by Trustee Scaglione to approve a resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign a consultant agreement with Charles McKinney for design services. Motion passed 7-0 Motion was made by Trustees Spiro, seconded by Trustee Andruss to approve a resolution accepting a resignation by a Village employee. Motion passed 7-0. Motion was made by Trustee Scaglione, seconded by Trustee Gonzalez to go out of special session. Motion passed 7-0 At 7:48 the work session was adjourned.
