Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Confirming Mayor's Appointment of Police Officers
Whereas, maintaining an adequate staffing level is essential to the efficient operation of
the Sleepy Hollow Police Department; and
Whereas, there are currently vacancies in the Police Department; and
Whereas, the Police Department canvassed candidates for the position of Police
Officer; and
Whereas, Daniel Collins, Trevor Gonzalez and Nickolas Moya of Sleepy Hollow, scored
in the top three of the Civil Service eligible list #60-194 and have satisfactorily
completed all requirements of the Sleepy Hollow Police Department's background
screening policy; and
Whereas, Police Chief Bueti recommended that Daniel Collins, Trevor Gonzalez and
Nickolas Moya, be appointed to fill the vacant Police Officer positions.
Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Board of Trustees hereby confirms the
Mayors' appointment of Daniel Collins, Trevor Gonzalez and Nickolas Moya to the
position of Police Officer (Uncertified) at the annual starting salary of $57,216.47, said
appointments to become effective December 27, 2021, pending passing of medical
examinations and subject to the approval of the Westchester County Department of
Civil Service Rules and a probationary period of 12 to 78 weeks.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Approving Promotion in the Water Department
Whereas, Jose Grullon, a current employee in the Village's Water Dept., currently working as a
Water Maintenance Worker Grade II, has taken the civil service exam for Water &amp; Sewer
Maintenance Worker Grade I, and scored number one on civil service eligible list #66-948, and
Whereas, Joe DeFeo, Water Department Foreman and Kevin Smith, Public Works
Superintended have recommended that Jose Grullon be promoted to this position {Water &amp;
Sewer Maintenance Worker I}.
Now Be It Resolved that the Board of Trustees approve the promotion of Jose Grullon
effective December 22, 2021 at an annual salary of $87,671.18 and, said appointment is subject
to the approval by the Westchester County Department of Human Resources and a
probationary period of twelve to fifty two weeks effective December 22, 2021.

Hiring Part-Time {On-Call} Crossing Guard
WHEREAS, a need for an on-call part-time crossing guard has been identified in
order to maintain the safety of pedestrians, and
WHEREAS, William Solomon, Jr. of Sleepy Hollow has applied for the position;
and
WHEREAS, Police Chief Bueti has recommended that William Solomon, Jr. of
Sleepy Hollow, NY, be hired on a part-time {on-call} basis to fill this position;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow hereby approve William Solomon, Jr. to be hired on a
part-time {on-call} basis as a Crossing Guard for the Village of Sleepy Hollow at
a salary rate of $15.00 per hour.

Hiring Parking Enforcement Officer
Whereas, the Police Chief Bueti has recommend hiring a part-time Parking
Enforcement Officer to fill a vacant position, and
Whereas, the Chief of Police recommends Johnny Zhinin of Sleepy Hollow to
be hired to fill this position;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Sleepy Hollow hereby approves that Johnny Zhinin to be hired on a part time
basis as a Parking Enforcement Officer for the Village of Sleepy Hollow at a
salary rate of $16.00 per hour, not to exceed 20 hours per week, effective
December 21, 2021
Be It Further Resolved that said appointments are subject to the approval of
the Westchester County Department of Human Resources and a probationary
period of twelve to fifty two weeks.

Hiring Part-Time Recreation Staff for the
Recreation Department
WHEREAS, in order to maintain the appropriate ratio of staff per participant in the
afterschool program, the current vacancy in the Recreation Department must be filled,
and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Recreation, Matt Arone, properly advertised this
position and has conducted interviews, and has deemed this applicant qualified, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Arone has recommended to hire this candidate on a part-time basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow hereby approve Mr. Arone's recommendation of Dialimary
Rivera of Ossining, to be hired effective December 22, 2021, at an hourly rate of
$19.07, and be under the supervision of Mr. Arone, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED a background check for this applicant has been
completed and is satisfactory.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Authorizing the 2021/2022 Snow and Ice Supplemental Agreement
WHEREAS, the Village of Sleepy Hollow has provided Snow and Ice control services on
a continuous basis since 1997 for 9.1 lane miles of roadway located in the Village of
Sleepy Hollow and owned by the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, the Village Administrator is hereby authorized to execute the 2021/2022
Snow and Ice Supplemental Agreement with the NYSDOT municipal program, for the
indexed sum of a total reimbursement to the Village estimated to be $23,711.86
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Board herein authorizes the
Village Administrator to execute the attached 2021/2022 Snow and Ice Supplemental
Agreement and to take other such steps as necessary to make the intent of this
resolution.
