RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARING
ON A PROPOSED LOCAL LAW AMENDING VILLAGE CODE SECTION 400-60 TO
SET A 30 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT NORTHBOUND ON BROADWAY
BETWEEN TARRYTOWN AND HIGHLAND AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow that a
public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. or as soon as such hearing may be called thereafter, on
the 8th day of February, 2022 at the Sleepy Hollow Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy
Hollow, New York 10591, on a "Proposed Local Law Amending Village Code Section 400-60 to
Set a 30 Mile Per Hour Speed Limit Northbound on Broadway between Tarrytown and Highland
Avenue;" and, be it further

RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk shall give due notice of this public hearing in
accordance with the Village Code and the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the
State of New York.

BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow, New York,
as follows:
Section 1.
The Code of the Village of Sleepy Hollow is amended at Section 400-60
entitled "Maximum speed limits" by:
A.

Amending the sixth provision thereof to read:

Northbound between the Tarrytown Village Line
and Highland Avenue

Deleting the third and fifth provisions thereof which set a 35 mph speed
limit on Route U.S. 9

Northbound from Highland Avenue to the Mount Pleasant Town

Avenue.

Southbound from the Mount Pleasant Town Line to Highland

Line.

Section 2.
The invalidity of any word, section, clause, paragraph sentence, part, or
provision of this local law shall not affect the validity of any part of this local law which can be
given effect without such invalid part or parts.
Section 3.
This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing in the Office of
the Secretary of State

BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees hereby allows the Sleepy
Hollow St. Patrick's Parade Committee, Inc. to hold its annual St. Patrick's Parade on
Sunday. March 13r 2022 beginning promptly at 1:30 p.m. on Main Street in Tarrytown,
heading North on Rt 9 to Beekman Avenue and ending near Morse School (Beekman
Ave.) in Sleepy Hollow. Said parade to last approximately two hours.

Resolution of the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Sleepy Hollow to Approve Contract for Water Department
Whereas, the Sleepy Hollow Board of Trustees is desirous of entering into an annual
contract to maintain the water department's cathodic protection system, and
Whereas, a draft contract has been received by Corrpro to provide this service, and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works Superintendent has recommended entering
into this contract,
Now therefore be it resolved that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the
Mayor to sign the attached contract with Corrpro to maintain the water department's
cathodic protection system at a cost of $1,045. per year subject to the approval by the
Village Attorney.
