Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Sleepy Hollow Appointing Assistant Building Inspector
Whereas, maintaining an adequate staffing level is essential to the efficient
operation of the Building Department; and
Whereas, on November 30, 2021 the Board of Trustees authorized the Village
Clerk to canvass the Assistant Building Inspector List, from the Westchester
County Dept. of Human Resources, and
Whereas, after conducting numerous interviews and after careful consideration
of all candidates, background and experience, the Village Board agreed with the
recommendation of Sean McCarthy, Building Inspector, and
Whereas, Max Dao of Wappinger Falls, has taken the required Assistant Building
Inspector exam and placed within the required top three scores on the
Westchester County's Assistant Building Inspector - Eligible List #67-925.
Now, therefore, be it resolved, the Board of Trustees hereby confirms the
Mayor's appointment and the Building Inspector's recommendation of
Max Dao to the position of Assistant Building Inspector, effective March 7, 2022,
at an annual salary of $87,000.00, and all other terms and conditions of nonunion employment should apply per the Village's manual policy handbook, and
Be it further resolved said appointment is subject to the approval of the
Westchester County Department of Human Resources and a probationary period
of twelve to fifty two weeks.
