PRESENT: James Nazemetz, Chairman Sean McCarthy Thomas Capossela Elvira Aloia Louis Falasca ABSENT: Barbara Fina Robert Barstow James Margotta, Building INspector ALSO PRESENT: Edward Lammers, Attorney Chairman Nazemetz called the meeting to order at 8:15 P.M. 1. John & Amy Bogusz, 266 Harwood Avenue -Addition. Mr. McCarthy excused himself from the meeting as he is the Architect for the Project. Mr. McCarthy presented affidavit of service of mailings to Clerk. Mr. McCarthy presented plans and photos of existing house and proposed changes. He stated that the addition would be a two-story addition that would contain a family room, two new bedrooms and create a new bathroom. He also stated that the new addition would match the existing structure as to windows, shutters, cornice, new c±rimney and roof. Mr. Falasca moved to open the hearing for public comments. Ms. Aloia seconded the motion and the motion was carried. There being no public comments, Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. After discussion, Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to approve the plans as submitted. Carried. 2. Miguel Jimenez, 76 Beekman Avenue - Approval of new facade (Cont'd). Mr. McCarthy rejoined the Board. Mr. Jimenez presented letter from Turnquist Architects dated February 22nd, 2000 formally requesting that' the previous application be replaced by a formal request to remove existing front balconies and approval to restucco the front building facade. (COPY OF LETTER IN OFFICIAL MINUTES). Mr. Jimenez stated that his original submission is withdrawn. Margotta Building Inspector Village of Sleepy Hollow 28 Beekman Avenue Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591 re: 76 Beekman Avenue Sleepy Hollow, NY Dear Mr. Margotta: This is a formal request to remove the existing front balconies on the above referenced project. The balconies are in poor condition, e.g., floors, railings, supports, etc., are rotting and are no longer structurally sound. The owner also wishes to restucco the front building facade. There being no public comments, Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded fcy Mr. McCarthy to close the meeting for public contents. Carried. Chairman Nazemetz stated that the request was a complete change from the prior submission. Discussion followed regarding color of stucco, color of trim around windows, color of windows and doors. Mr. Jimenez stated that the awning color would be determined at a later date. Mr. McCarthy questioned the effect of the removal of the balconies to the stucco of the building. Ms. Aloia stated she would lite to see the trim remain the same color. Mr. Jimenez stated that the colors would be beige stucco with bayleaf green trim. There being no further discussion Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. Capossela that the application be approved as follows: all window trim toibe painted after replacement, all balconies to be removed, restucco complete face of building, and repaint cornice and overhang. Carried. MINUTES Mr. Nazemetz stated that the minutes of the meeting held on January 26th, 2000 would be discussed at the March meeting. There being no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Falasca moved, seconded by Mr. Capossela that the same be duly adjourned.
