PRESENT: JAMES MAZEMETZ, CHAIRMAN SEAN McCARThY ELVIRA AUOIA THOMAS CAPOSSELA LOUIS FALASCA BARBARA FINA ABSENT: ED LAMMERS, ATTORNEY ALSO PRESENT: JAMES MARGOTT£, BUILDING INSPECTOR Chairman Nazemetz called the meeting to order at 8 P.M. 1. JAMES & PATRICIA PIERESON, 264 Millard Avenue - 2nd Floor Addition over existing garage (sunroom & dormer) Mr. McCarthy excused himself from participating in the application as he is the Architect for the project. Mr. McCarthy presented affidavits'-- of mailing to Clerk. Mr. MdCferthy presented plans and sketches of proposed addition!: and stated that the addition would consist of a one-story addition over the garage, a one-story 15 x 15 sunroom, and a new dormer in the attic, which faces the west. He stated '^several changes have been made to the original plans and would ask the Board to review the changes and to approve them. He stated that the new addition would match the existing house and the entire roof would be reshingled. Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca to open the meeting for public comments. Carried. Mr. John Barron, 260 Millard Avenue stated he was a neighbor and had no objections to the project. Neighbor residing at 167 Millard Avenue stated she had no objections to the project. There being no further comments Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia that the meeting be closed for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed regarding size of dormer, garage facade and walkup attic. Mr. Capossela moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca that the application be approved as submitted. Carried. Mr. McCarthy did not vote on the motion. �-22. MR. SHOENFELD-152 Depeyster Street-New Fence. Mr. Shoenfeld presented affidavit of mailings to Clerk. Mr. Shoenfeld stated he would like to replace the chain link fence with a wrought iron fence and presented pictures and sketches for the Board to review, and stated the fence would be three feet in height as called for in the Code. Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to open the meeting for public comments. Carried. There being no public comments/ Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed regarding the placement and height of the fence in the front of the property and the side of the property. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Mr. Earstow to approve the application for erection of a wrought iron fence at the property located at 152 Depeyster Street. Carried. 3. Miguel Suscal, 130 Depeyster Street-Replace Fence. Mr. Suscal stated he had installed a four feet in height fence and was told that the fence had to be three feet in height and he would like approval of the Board to install a three foot high fence, said fence to be a wood picket fence. Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to open the meeting for public comments. Carried. There being no public comments/ Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed regarding height and type of fencing to be installed. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca to approve the erection of the fence as requested. Carried. MINUTES Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Mr. Falasca to approve the minutes of the meeting of October 25th, 2000 as submitted, carried. Discussion was held regarding the sign to be installed at Philipsburg Manor and the sign to be installed by the Notary Club at the entrance to Phelps Memorial Hospital. Mr. Margotta was instructed to send a letter to Mr. Robert Spencer of the Rotary club regarding their sign. After discussion it was decided that no meeting be held in December, due to the various holidays. There being no further business to come before the Board, Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by jyir.
