Robert Stiloski, Inspe Acting Chairman McCarthy called the meetinl and welcomed new member, Henry Steiner, to the Board. 1. Zoila Encalada, 252 North Broadway-Fence. Mr. Catere, Agent for the applicant stated that the new fence would be between three feeet and five feet in height and presented photographs for the Board to review. He stated that the hedges would be removed and the new fence installed. Applicant presented proof of affidavit of mailings to Mr. Stiloski. comments. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to open the meeting for public Carried. There being no public comments, Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed with Board members stating they would prefer that the shubbery be left so some greenery is left. Applicant stated there is a gas station next door and they would like some privacy. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to approve the application for the erection of fencing on the property side and rear and that two feet high shrubbery be planted around the front of the property. Carried. 2. Catherine A. Williams, 52 New Broadway-Repair and Replace steps and wall. Applicant presented affidavit of proof of mailings to Mr. Stiloski. Applicant presented drawings and photograph for the Board to review and stated that the present wall has deteriorated and they wanted to replace the wall and steps. comments. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to open the meeting for public Carried. There being no public comments, Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. �1" -2Discussion followed regarding type of construction and height of wall. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to approve the application as submitted. Carried. 3. James & Dorothy Paolontonio, 43 Amos Street-Storage Shed in Rear Yard. Mr. Paolontonio presented affidavit of proof of mailings to Mr. Stiloski. Mr. Paolontonio presented pictures of the type of shed to be installed at the rear of his property. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to open the meeting for public comments. Carried. Ms. Aloia moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. After discussion, Ms. Aloia moved, seconded by Ms. Fina to approve the application as submitted. Carried. 4. Nilo Torres, 25 New Broadway-Stone Wall and Fence. Mr. Torres stated that the proof of mailings had been left at the Inspectors office. Mr. Torres presented photographs of the property showing a rusted chain link fence in front of his house approximately three feet high, and asked the Board to approve his applicantion for a new wall and new fencing. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to open the meeting for public comments. Carried. There being no public comments, Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. Discussion follosed regarding type of construction, height and type of fencing and color of fencing. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia that the application be approved as submitted subject to the proof of mailings being received by the Inspector. Carried. 5. CFF Realty Inc., 365 (361) North Broadway-Addition Mr. McCarthy stated that the applicant was not prepared to submit material for the Board to review and upon motion made by Ms. Fina and seconded by Ms. Aloia the matter was postponed until the June meeting. Carried. 6. Bernstein/Crepeau, 215 Palmer Avenue-Addition. Mr. McCarthy stated that the applicant was not prepared to submit material for the Board to review and upon motion made By Ms. Fina and seconded by Ms. Aloia the matter was postponed until the June meeting. Carried. �J- * -3MINUTES Mr. McCarthy moved the following correction in the April 24th, 2002 minutes: Page 3 - Mr. McCarthy voted "No" on the applicantion of M.Rodriguez. Seconded by Ms. Fina the motion carried. Page 3 - Ms. Fina stated that the minutes should read as follows: "Architectural Integrity has been lost" and moved that the minutes be corrected to reflect the correction. Seconded by Ms. Aloia. Carried. Page 5 - Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Fina that the "dining room" be changed to "new family room". Carried. There being no further corrections Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia that they be approved as corrected. Carried. Mr. McCarthy stated that the next meeting of the Board would be held on June 26th, 2002. There being no further business to come before the Board , Mr.McCarthy moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia that the same be duly adjourned. Carried.
