Chairman Nazemetz stated that Item 5 on the Agenda would be postponed as Mr. Dibble's application is currently being discussed by the Planning Board. Chairman Nazemetz stated that Item 8 on the Agenda-George Samaras, Paraiso Costeno Restaurant at 175 Valley Street was cancelled and would be discussed at a later meeting. 1. ROCK OF SALVATION CHURCH, 131 Cortlandt Street-Facade Improvements-Continued. Chairman Nazemetz stated he had inspected the building in Peekskill which has the color that the Church would like to install on the facade. Mr. Turnquist, Architect presented photographs of the brick "as is" and presented samples of the color that they would like for the stucco. Mr. Turnquist also discussed all the renovations that would be taking place and stated they would like the former Con Edison building to look more like a Church. comments. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia Carried. to open the meeting for public There being no public comments, Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Fina to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. Discussion followed with members agreeing that the improvements would be beneficial to the Church and to the area. Ms. Fina moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy that the application be approved as submitted and that the color of the stucco be "blush or peach". Carried. 2. Pillajo, 72 Beekman Avenue(Estilismo Foto Estudio)-Sign Permit. Mr. Pillajo did not appear and the matter was postponed. �-23. J. Nelson Arboleda, 72 Beekman Avenue (Los Paisas Co.)- Sign Permit. Mr. Arboleda did not appear and the matter was postponed. 4. EDWARD KEEGAN, 285 N. BROADWAY-SIGN (CONTINUED.) (EXTREME SIGNS). Applicant presented photographs and drawing of proposed signs and awning. Mr. McCarthy moved, seconded by Mr. Steiner to open the meeting for public comments. Carried. There being no public comments, Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to close the meeting for public comments. Carried. Discussion regarding the present awning which applicant stated that Mr. Keegan would remove the awning at a later date. Ms. Fina stated that the application should be evaluated by the Board as an application for both awnings and all the signs for the tenants. Applicant stated it was critical for him to have a sign due to the building being occupied by various other tenants. Mr. Steiner stated that he was under the impression that the owner of the Building was to be the applicant. Mr. Lammers stated that many buildings in the Village have signs that were applied for by the tenants, with the owners not objecting, and the Board approving them. Discussion followed regarding the number of signs that would be placed on the building, the installation of a "directory" on the north side of the building as previously discussed, and whether a variance would have to be granted. Mr. Stiloski stated there are two separate sides to the building, including the north side which is completely exposed and the front of the building, and stated that the present "Bert's" sign is an illegal one. Mr. Steiner stated he was concerned as to who the applicant is in this case as the agenda states Mr. Keegan as the applicant. Mr. Stiloski stated that Mr. Keegan is the applicant but Mr. Tyler is his representative and is appearing for him. Mr. Nazemetz stated that the Board is only considering the sign for Extreme and not for Mr. Keegan or for Bert's. Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to approve the application as submitted, with the following conditions: 1. Broadway elevation sign as proposed. 2. North side elevation sign as proposed. 3. Construction of the sign should be two inch sign foam carved on inside with gold leaf lettering. CARRIED. �-35. ICHABOD'S LANDING-INFORMATIONAL PRESENTATION. Bruce Lozito representing Ginsburg Developers presented aerial photographs, and plans for the project to be constructed on the former Cooney Property, at the bottom of Beekman Avenue, adjacent to the General Motors property. Mr. Lozito stated they had appeared before the Planning Board and the Village Board and have received some input from both Boards. He also stated that they would be appearing before the Planning Board with a "Site Plan" and and "Environmental Impact Statement". Mr. Lozito stated that Ginsburg Developers would like to construct approximately fifty units, and also stated that they would be willing to have a connected pathway to the Village park adjacent to the property, and to the esplande planned in the plans for the General Motors site. He also stated that the plans are in keeping with the historical nature of the area. Chairman Nazemetz thanked Mr. Lozito for appearing before the Board. MINUTES Mr. Nazemetz moved, seconded by Ms. Aloia to approve the minutes of the meeting held on July 24th, 2002 as submitted. Carried. Mr. Steiner moved, seconded by Mr. McCarthy to approve the minutes of the meeting held on September 25th, 2002 as submitted. Carried. Mr. Tyler reappeared before the Board and presented pictures of the lighting to be installed after his sign is installed, stating they would be ten inch in diameter halogen lights. There being no further business to cone before the Board, Mr. Steiner moved, seconded by Ms. Fina that the same be duly adjourned. Carried.
