Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Hiring Part-Time Seasonal Staff for the
Parks Department
WHEREAS the Parks Department has remaining funds in this current budget year for
an approved part-time seasonal worker for the Spring months,
WHEREAS the Superintendent of Recreation, Matt Arone, properly advertised this
position and has conducted interviews, and has deemed this applicant qualified, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Arone has recommended to hire this candidate on a part-time seasonal

the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow hereby approve Mr. Arone's recommendation of Jacob Day of
Dobbs Ferry, NY, to be hired effective March 7, 2022, at an hourly rate of $16.00 and
be under the supervision of Mr. Arone, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED a background check for this applicant has been
completed and is satisfactory.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Approving Request from the Fire Department
Whereas, The Sleepy Hollow Village Board adopted a policy on July 27 2021
Prohibiting, certain symbols and flags from being displayed on Village owned vehicles
unless authorized by the Village Board, and
Whereas, On November 11, 2021, the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department requested
permission to display a flag with a thin red and blue line running through it on the
orange fire apparatus operated by Columbia Hose Number 3.
Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Sleepy Hollow approves a request made by the Sleepy Hollow Fire
Department to display a flag with a thin red and blue line running through it on the
orange fire apparatus operated by Columbia Hose Number 3, [Refer to Exhibit A]
