Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the
Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village
of North Tarrytown held at the Corporation Rooms in the Village of North
Tarrytown on the 17th day of December,
1930*.
Present:
Gerald B. Gould, Chairman
William 0. Schmidt
John K. Mullon
David Page, Jr.
John J. Lofaro, Secretary.
Mr. Gould called the meeting to order at 8;15 PM
The minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on November 19th, 1930, were read and approved.
The absence of Building Inspector, Percy C. Minnerly was noted
and the Secretary was asked by Mr. Gould if a notice of meeting was
sent to him.

The Secretary informed him that notices of the Nov-

ember and December meetings were sent to each and every member of
this Board including the Building Inspector.

Thereupon Mr. Schmidt

moved that the Secretary be instructed to write to the Building
Inspector calling his attention to Paragraph 16 of the Rules of this
Board which reads as follows:
"The Building Inspector shall, on or before
the 10th day of each month make and file
with the clerk of the Board of Appeals and
with the chairman a written report setting
forth in detail all building permits applied
for, issued or refused together with a
,'•'• detail statement of his examinations and
other activities as Building Inspector and
any recommendations or suggestions he may
desire to submit to the Board of Appeals and
he shall attend all meetings of the Board
of -Appeals."
The said motion was duly seconded and passed.

It was suggested by Mr. Gould that some sort of a form for
the Building Inspector's monthly report to this Board he printed
to simplify the Building Inspector's work.

The matter was put

over until the next regular meeting when the Building Inspector
would be present to give the Board his views as to what he would
require in said form.
The matter of Mr. H.D. Minich was again put over until this
Board receive further communication either from the Philipse Manor
Improvement Association or Mr. Minich.
On Motion of Mr. Schmidt, duly seconded and passed, it was
resolved that the following he noted in the minutes of this
meeting*"A Notice of meeting of which the following is a copy, was
recieved by each member of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Village of North Tarrytown, N.Y.
The Board of Trustees
Dec. 10th, 1930.
Mr.
Dear Sir:
The Board of Trustees have directed me to request
you to be present at a meeting which will be held
Friday Evening, Dec. 12th, 1930, in the Corporation
Building #28 Beekman Avenue, North Tarrytown, N.Y.
At which meeting the matter of changing property
located on the corner of Broadway and Depeyster Street
from residential "B" to Business will be discussed.
Kindly arrange to be present as the Board of
Trustees would like to have an open expression from
each member of the Zoning Board of Appeals before
making a final decision in the matter.
Trusting you will be with us on said date, I remain

That pursuant to said notice each member of this Board
attended the said meeting and expressed a concurring
view with Chairman Gerald B. Gould who opposed the
proposed change from residential B to Business of that
particular property on the Northwest corner of Broadway
and Depeyster Street owned by Mrs. Catherine Ward. "

There being no further business to transact, the meeting
was adjourned at 9 P.M. to meet again on January 21st, 1931.

Dear Mr. Minnerly;
Your absence at the meetings of the Zoning
Board of Appeals having been noted, 1 was instructed
to write to you calling your attention to paragraph
16 of the Rules of the Zoning Board of Appeals, which
rule reads as follows:
" The Building Inspector shall, on ©r before

The next regular meeting of the Zoning Board of
Appeals will be held on Wednesday, January 21st, 1931.
I shall again notify you before said date by a notice
of meeting which I mall to each member of the Board.
