Insp. Absent Also present: David Jarema Pat Lupi James 6 Charles Margotta appeared in behalf of Mrs. Elvira Margotta Chairman James Friere called the hearing to order at 8:00 P.M. Counsel Chessari read the notice of Elvira Margotta for a variance to extend store front, a distance of 8" beyond the install one step which would project out hearing request ed by Mrs. the upper part of the southerly face of the building and to on to the sidewalk. Mr. Gasparovic stated that the applicant applied for a building permit, but was informed that a variance be obtained since the work contemplated does not conform to the Zoning Ordinance. Mr, Gasparovic stated that surrounding property owners have abutting stairs and a hardship exists on the owner. The Department has no objection to the Variance, said Mr. Gasparovic. ' Mr. John Gross moved, seconded by David Page that Mrs. Elvira Margotta be permitted to extend the upper part of the southerly store front at 322 North Broadway, known on the Village map as Section 17, Block 20, Lots 1-6, a distance of 8" beyond the face of the building, which extension shall be fourteen (14) feet from the surface of the sidewalk, and that she be also permitted to install one step, 6 1/2" high and 12" deep and 5 feet wide, which step shall project out on to , the sidewalk. Carried. A letter was read from Mr, Irving Neimark, requesting a variance from Section 4.356 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit an eight foot fence, instead of the required five feet in the rear of property owned by his clients, Edmay and Lewis Martin, 9 Barnhart Ave. Mr. Gasparovic stated that Mr. Migliarese will be requesting a variance for property he purchased on Depeyster Street. Following a short discussion, two public hearings will be scheduled for Messrs.
