May 11, 1967 Q(o A Zoning Board of Appeals hearing was held on May 11,.1967 regarding application of Antonio and Domeriica Iannarelli, his wife, for a variance to permit off-street parking for five (5) parking spaces for five (5) automobiles instead of the required six (6) parking spaces at the rear of .their property known as 166 Cortlaridt Street, No. Tarrytown, N.Y. and also known and designated on the Tax Map of the Village of North Tarrytown as Section 16, Block 11, Lot 10. Chessari, Counsel Absent Applicants: John Gross Antonio 8 Domenica Iannarelli Chairman Friere opened the hearing arid requested Acting^Clerk Chessari to read the notice of public hearing. Antonio:Iannarelli, applicant stated to the Board that he planned to increase -the number of apartments'in the building from five to six by splitting up the third floor from one to two apartments and that while the present zoning ordinance would require six parking spaces for six automobiles by creating the additional apartment, Mr. Iannarelli requests the Board to grant him a variance to permit him off-street parking for five parking spaces instead of the required six parking spaces. After examining and analyzing the survey submitted of this property, the Board found that the maximum * square .footage of the rear yard was 45 square feet and while the area was large enough for four parking spaces, it was not large enough to create a fifth parking space since the fifth parking space would$be too close to the building, thereby creating a fire hazard in violation of the Fire Code. After further discussion and deliberation by the members of the Board, on motion by Patrick Lupi and seconded by Dr. Brady, and unanimously carried: RESOLVED: That the application be and the same is hereby denied.
