M. Chairman James Friere read the notice of hearing to consider the request of Philipsburg Manor Estate, 29 Chestnut Ridgeway, Dobbs Ferry, New York for relief on appeal from the decision of the Building Inspector in denying a permit on applicants proposal to build (2) attached one family dwellings and for a variance from the provision of Section 62-8 (B) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of North Tarrytown requirement that a building lot have 4000 square feet and 3 feet on the side of properly known and designated on the Official Tax Map as Section 17 Block 1 Lot 1A3. Mr. Letsen appeared on behalf of the applicant and presented a survey of the propertyiin question. He stated that his applicant is requesting permission to build 2 one family attached houses on his lot thereby waiving requirement of the 3 feet side yard, Mr. Letsen stated that the building permit issued was for a two (2) family house. However, his client is requesting to build 2 attached one family houses which would conform to the general neighborhood area. If permission is granted said Mr. Letsen, the wall between the two houses will be fireproofed. There will be separate water and sewer lines and anything else would be done according to present requirements in the Village. Chairman Friere inquired of Mr. Letsen if he would be changing the foundation of the original lot and he was answered in the negative. Following a discussion, Mr. Friere told Mr. Letsen J; that the Board would discuss the request of his client and w»«ld advise him of the results. The Board met in executive session and after a lengthy discussion it was decided a letter would be sent to Mr. Letsen asking him to supply the Board with additional facts as to how the variance would affect the health, welfare and safety of the public. No further business to come before the hearing, same was duly adjourned.
