December 28, 1981 / A special meeting was held before the Board of Trustees of the Village of North Tarrytown on the above date. Present Philip E. Zegarelli, Mayor James J. Timmings Janet Gandolfo Peter Soriano Thomas J. Cavalieri Mario DiFelice Margaret White, Trustees Robert J. Ponzini, Counsel Mayor Zegarelli called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. and stated that the purpose of the meeting was to award the bids on the Village Garage and Strand Theater. Trustee DiFelice moved, seconded by Trustee White that the package price for the entire public works facility be accepted in the amount of $535,113.00. Carried. Trustee Cavalieri moved, seconded by Trustee Gandolfo, that the contract for the Village Garage be awarded to Somers Contracting, Somers, N.Y. as follows: Base bid Alternate Alternate Alternate Alternate Alternate Alternate - $409,900 1/ (plus) 63,000 3/ (plus) 3,800 4- (minus) -4,500 10 - (minus) 27,900 10 - (minus) 12,000 11 - (minus) - 9,500 Total cost $422,800 Carried. Trustee White moved, seconded by Trustee Soriano that the contract for heating be awarded to Air Quality, of Mamaroneck, N.Y. as follows: Base bid Alternate 1 $21,768 1,750 Total cost $23,518 Carried. Trustee Timmings moved, seconded by Trustee Soriano that the contract for plumbing work be awarded to Herlihy & Donovan in the amount of $39,922. Carried. Trustee DiFelice moved, seconded by Trustee White that the contract for electrical work be awarded to Rigid Electric, Mt. Kisco, N.Y. as follows: Base bid Alternate 1 Alternate 3 Total cost $42,132 6,341 400 $48,873 Carried. �-2- Trustee Soriano moved, seconded by Trustee DiFelice that 200 calendar days for compliance be established for completion work. Carrie3 Trustee Gandolfo moved, seconded by Trustee Soriano, that the liquidating damage rate be established at a rate of $100 per calendar day. Carried. Trustee White moved, seconded by Trustee Timmings that the contractors be notified by certified mail by January 1st, 1982. Carrie Trustee Cavalieri moved, seconded by Trustee Gandolfo that the Mayor be authorized to sign the contracts. Carried. Trustee Timmings moved, seconded by Trustee White that the bid bonds from all but the top two bidders be returned immediately and the others returned when we have a signed contract. Carried. Trustee Soriano moved to accept the bid of Laurentino Rodrigues, 56 Clinton St., No. Tarrytown, N.Y. for the former Strand Theater in the amount of $45,000, subject to the provisions outlined in the public notice. Mayor Zegarelli polled the Board as follows: Trustee Timmings M Soriano M Gandolfo - Yes Yes Yes Mayor Zegarelli voted "Yes". Trustee Cavalieri - No " DiFelice - Yes White - Yes Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the meeting, Trustee Gandolfo moved, seconded by Trustee White that the same be duly adj ourned. Carried.
